If true then our transfer business might not look as good come 11pm. Dann would be a great signing and will strengthen our defence, but we need a decent striker as well- Yakubu doesn't meet that criteria.

Johnson got found out a little more and out of the two Dann is much better.

The problem for Johnson was he was trying to cover for Dann as well, as Jirinek and Ridgewell weren't up to job really. Dann is very good on the ball but also very solid in defence. If we had Samba alongside him to keep him in check, like Johnson did at Brum, then we would have a solid centre and just need to get Salgado's head in the game. Givet at LB would be pretty solid too. Free up Olsson to play LW as well.

Really hope we have a back up striker in mind, we need a goalscorer ASAP the everton game made that very clear. Yakubu isn't the man. We need someone who will get 10-15 goals a season and i doubt roberts, blackman, Yakubu and goodwillie would get 10goals a season between them.

To be fair to the guy 11 goals in 20 appearances isn't a bad return for a waddling tub of guts even in the Championship. Never mind the goat feed the Yak and he will score.

Obviously in a massive minority but think Yak would be alright, not great mind you. Holds the ball up much better than Roberts and can't be worse at shooting than him!!
