Honda not moving to England - his agent says he's staying at CSKA. Vicente signing for Brighton - again someone who was linked with us.

Think he would have been someone who would have done well for us. Stupid Kean.

Haven't heard anything new about us, have heard bedntner isn't going to Stoke, would defo take him.

*just heard on Sky sports we are trying to get Yakubu here for a medical and El Hamadaoui has been linked. Do you think they are reading this? :wacko:

If true then our transfer business might not look as good come 11pm. Dann would be a great signing and will strengthen our defence, but we need a decent striker as well- Yakubu doesn't meet that criteria.

Let's hope Rovers have someone else lined up.

Anyone heard the rumor of luca toni on loan due to him being in the final year of his contract? I know its one of many stories flying around today....

Italian journo on twitter, who seems to be right about most things, suggesting that Toni is 5th choice at his club, understands that and is happy with that. So I'm going to say we wont sign him. Roberto...?

Johnson got found out a little more and out of the two Dann is much better.

The problem for Johnson was he was trying to cover for Dann as well, as Jirinek and Ridgewell weren't up to job really. Dann is very good on the ball but also very solid in defence. If we had Samba alongside him to keep him in check, like Johnson did at Brum, then we would have a solid centre and just need to get Salgado's head in the game. Givet at LB would be pretty solid too. Free up Olsson to play LW as well.

Would take both. Not going to happen though.

what a disgrace of a window... and it shows little sign of changing!

nothing in the toni to rovers story.. as far as im aware. i'll be raging if the YAK does turn up at rovers!

Not that he excites me either but you're wrong there. 11 goals in 20 starts for Leicester.

Really hope we have a back up striker in mind, we need a goalscorer ASAP the everton game made that very clear. Yakubu isn't the man. We need someone who will get 10-15 goals a season and i doubt roberts, blackman, Yakubu and goodwillie would get 10goals a season between them.

Really getting nervous about today.. was bad enough Venkys/Kean leaving it to the last day but still no decent striker and all except the Yak seem to be heading to other clubs... crazy little old Blackburn, will give the owners one thing they certainly have made it interesting here but I bet Uncle Jack is turning in his grave :(

he's not up to it neal.. neither is roberts and neither would toni be.

leicester fans werent impressed by yak. they used to bombared phone-ins saying how poor he was.

watched him at gigg lane in july.. laughed my head off at him.. and here we are in august.. :(
