Glad your not Rovers manager then.

I live in the real world not FM world where Torres is still a Worldie. I watch quite a bit of Chelsea with my mate and Torres is awful at the moment and personally don't think he'll ever be as good as he was ever again. The guy can't even hit the target in pre-match warm ups right now!

If you think Torres has been anything than being a complete waste of space at Chelsea (or at Liverpool since the WC for that matter) we've obviously been watching two different players.

Gignac is talented, although he can be frustrating. He's had a few personal problems that have held his career back, but there is no doubt that he has ability and that his style of play would be suited to the premier league. Capable of playing up front by himself or with a strike partner, he would suit our style of play and would be able to fit into the way we've set our team up in recent weeks.

Is he better than what we have Eddie?

He'll put a few in the net and be great again, sure Rooney had a spell for England where he looked useless nad he's brilliant again.

Form is temporary. Maybe he's struggling to fit in at Chelsea - but move him to a club that suits him and he's still a great player. Unfortunately its all speculative, as we wouldn't have a hope in hell of getting him here.

So people have been saying for the past 15 months, that's not a 'spell' it's an age in footballing terms.

As I said I wouldn't sign Torres RIGHT NOW (because 'right now' he's awful) but of course would love to have the original Torres at Rovers. I personally don't think he'll ever get back to where he was though.

15 months is not 'temporary' and again the original question was would you turn down Torres RIGHT NOW, so the obvious answer is yes.

Sky Bet: From the latest betting it looks like a two-horse race between QPR and Stoke in to sign Peter Crouch. The Potters are 8/11 favourites to sign Crouch, while Neil Warnock's men are 7/4 to get the England man.

Bookies aint likely to be wrong at this late stage. Think we can rule crouch out now

so , if we sign Dann Yakubu and this Israeli kid on perm deals and loan J Jones and Gignac for the season , add those to the signings we've already made in Anderson Ribiero Petrovic Goodwillie and Vukcevic , do we think its been a successful window ? are we upset that we've spent less than whats come in? are we disappointed we never got that "marquee" signing?

hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I've heard it all now.. a Rovers fan saying he would turn down Torres.

There are plenty on here who turn down Rooney cos he has a bad haircut. I am feeling positive. If we have Samba and Dann in defence after the deadline that is huge, and if we have a choice of experienced premiership strikers to mix in with the talented kids that will work. Then it is up to us. We can Pixx and moan or we can show the players and the manager and the owners that we want to give the new look a chance to gel. 3 points and we are mid table.

Oh and by the way to all the get rid of Kean proponents, have you really considered the impact. Does that mean Jensen as cover, do you really think Hughes will step into this new environment ? I dont think so. So be careful what you wish for. If we are bottom in the month then I agree with change but not now.

SSN sources say Bentley has gone on loan to West Ham.

Sort of proves how low his confidence is, I have no doubt that a few PL teams would have taken him and played him week in week out

So, what differnce does it make at the end of the month? It would still be the same calibre of replacement but with less time to sort things out.

We could have a decent squad by 11pm tonight, we will defintely have an incompetent manager.
