wrong thread i know, but....please somebody tell me that i didn't just see the monstrosity that was/is "venkys"....plastered across the front of our shirts in HK.

now back on topic, lol. so, by the end of this week we should have 2 players signing for rovers...how many of us are confident of that happening, bearing in mind that we always seem to fall at the last hurdle because of a last minute hitch or snag!!

We'll sign players BBDU. There are thousands of pro footballers around the world that would be mighty happy to take a contract from BRFC.

It's the quality that concerns me and that's what seperates the good managers from the bad.

Rochina and Formica look like good players, J Jones was good for us. RSC not so good, but all managers sign crap at some stage.

if and its a big If, what if Kean brings in Raul ,Cisse, Honda, Mongongu and Petrovic? if that happens, then at least Kean can sleep a bit easy, as can the fans. I don't think all the blame can be put on Kean, as i still believe too many people involved in the whole process

There's no 'if' because that won't happen.

Trim that down by two players and still stick "big if" at the beginning and you might be getting somewhere.

Glad that SSN have finally caught up!

Petrovic having medical, hopefully deal will be complete very soon.

Also hearing more bids could be accepted within the next day or so.

Give us names Kamy, names.

I can't help but feel relieved now that the owners finally seem to be stumping up some cash. As much as a sensible signing this sounds. I'd like to see us sign a proven top quality striker for a few million... 1, Because we need one and 2, To show the owners have dough...

You sound surprised mate, I think this was their plan all along.

However if all this overdraft nonsense is true then they may need to find one. I hope so anyway.

On a more positive note, at least it looks like Petrovic is joining. Get Cedric in and a couple more and then we can all sleep easy!

No it's not, we got £16.5m for Jones guranteed so why isn't it being spent? If Man Yoo are paying in installments then we simply do the same with our purchases then. Man Utd HAVE to pay us at least £16.5m, even if they do it over the course of a year or two.

There is no reason (other than the bank loan) we shouldn't expect the full £16.5m to be re-invested.

It's a good job the aggregate wages of Raul, Petrovic and Mongongu's are expected to exactly the same as Phil Jones's...

otherwise your critism would just look silly!

What about the wages of the six or seven who have left? Were they playing (or not) for nothing?

Do you know the names Kamy? Not that you could share them of course. I think they'd be players already heavily linked with us, rather than out-of-the-blue names.

However, I do hope one or two are strikers of decent quality.

Don't know names yet.

Have been given name of a possibly striker, would class him as a 'marquee' name but not prolific goalscorer, would certainly cause a stir if we sign him. If name checks out will name him bur at the moment it is just a rumour.

I wouldnt say it's the owners stumping up cash. I'd say it's the money we got from Phil Jones being at least partly reinvested.
