Really good interview from Samba, credit to him. Doesn't slate the club, doesn't demand a transfer, doesnt refuse to play. Can't fault him, if he wants to play in the Champions League we can demand a champions league transfer fee from his sale.

But we would need a club to play top money for Samba - not try to get him on the cheap.

Which is far less likely to happen as long as he keeps giving interviews like that.

12-14m would do for me for Samba, good player, but has been a good servant, and probably deserves a chance at the top level now. If it doesn't happen soon he'll be too old.

Now Barclays seem to be satisfied, 12-14m would get us an adequate replacement. Givet and Nelsen wouldn't be the worst starting pair in the league, although granted much poorer than Jones and Samba. Our problem won't be goals conceded, it'll be goals scored.

As i've said before on here... I think Keith Andrews would want to play champs league football but Arsenal don't appear to be bidding for him either. :rolleyes:

this romanian chap, whatever his name is wont improve sh*t in our team, we dont need more mediocre players, we need QUALITY, a quality goalscorer, sick of being linked to garbage. Raul would be an awesome signing. Get a quality striker alongside him and we will be all right.

I know this might come as a bit of a shock but one of the strikers we are after someone said would cause a stir & not great scoring record at international level the first name that springs to mind could it possibly be Djibril Cisse formerly of Liverpool now at Panathinikos I think?. The other name that comes to mind after looking at his stats would be Nelson Valdez of Paraguay. Not great international scoring record.
