Really good interview from Samba, credit to him. Doesn't slate the club, doesn't demand a transfer, doesnt refuse to play. Can't fault him, if he wants to play in the Champions League we can demand a champions league transfer fee from his sale.

Agreed. Mirror just trying to stir things up again. I fully expect Samba to give his all for the club, but if a big club comes in and gives us a reasonable fee, then I have no qualms about him leaving to further his career. His comments in the interview were very sensible.

It'll be a sad day for me in the event he does leave though. Class player and has been my favourite Rovers player of the past few years.

With regards to The newspaper article, Samba has just said on Twitter :

"The declaration made of the sun about me are totally false never said that"

"Nonsense I never mention other club I'm a rovers player and will never mention other club it's disrespectful"

"Not happy right now"

I thought someone was going to reveal who the marquee striker we are looking at was?

I think we have all miss-understood. its either a marquee or a striker - my moneys on the big tent!

He only knows about the two strikers on the list because he reads this board, is that not obvious?

I think we have 3 strikers on the go at the moment, can't see us buying all three.

Raul is still being worked on, Zac confirmed this yesterday lunchtime, I was surprised due to funds reportedly available, but apparently its a possibility.

Then we have another striker, quality in my book, been mentioned on here last night by posters guessing the name.

And we have a little known striker, had not heard of him myself, but looked him up and was surprised to see his record and where he'd been playing, Zac has not confirmed fully we're after this guy though, he's checking.

When are the two names going to be released are you waiting on Zacc?

I am yes, he's specifically asked me not to say anything, thought it would be in the press this morning, but nothing.

I'm not sure to be honest, I just can't see us having solid bids in for three strikers? but what do I know and with Zac being away, the information is few and far between, but he was specific about the good player, so I believe we have contacted his club about him.

He's bound to say that though isn't he?

If he asks for a transfer then he doesn't get a pay out but if he doesn't then he will be entitled to a bumper windfall. :)

Hope he stays as can't see him doing much at a bigger club (a bit like Bentley) he was a big fish in a small pond and he moved to TH and now he's just small fish in a big pond. :)
