Reading that, does it make out that Marica wasnt prepared to put in a shift when the team were struggling which angered the manager and thus looked to cancel his contract.

Might have to wait and see (which YES, we have had to do a lot with little result all summer) but it does look like we have a thing for going for players close to joining other clubs for some reason or another. Maybe there's something in it still, but for Schalke to be talking like that, it seems pretty nailed on that he'll end up there.

Would explain the lackadaisical approach to strikers that has been going on. Perhaps Kean already thinks he has what he needs and unless we are going to spend big (10M) we only need another backup striker, preferably on a free (such as Pavone/Marica).

Not sure you are going to get much change out of a Premier League defence with those two - they could get out muscled very easily. We'll need at least one physical striker - bit worried that since the Cisse interest we haven't really been linked with one....
