I don't think anyone can deny that Venky's have had zero coherent strategy for the Rovers business and that it is getting worse rather than better.

They have been weak and disengaged and listened to whatever offbeat advice went into their ears from sources the most casual of cross-checks would have made them more careful of.

The confusion and indecision has dramatically increased when it came to spending their own money this summer.

It has made explaining (never mind understanding) what Rovers are doing all but impossible. Of course the fans would turn on each other in the face of rapidly changing turns of non-events.

have I missed something, but were the Rao's not going to clear all the debt? what is this over draft that the bank is calling in?

too many lies, and Kean comes across as trying to cover up things. 1st we had all the money from the Jones sale, now he says we haven't received it all. surely 16.5 should have been up front, with the rest if Jones makes appearances and England call ups?

it's probably in installments...but if I recall venkys said they'd put 5mill in each window then when kean went on a jaunt to India he came back saying they'd pledged an extra 5 million and we had substantial funds available...so WTF is going on ?

As for Raul he wont come here for nothing if hes the marquee signing they want ( even though slightly ageing ) he'll be wanting 100K plus per week....didnt the RSC and JJ wages come to around the 5 mill mark for the loan period...things are just not adding up..

also why keep going all the way to Pune when they want to keep costs down have they not heard of Skype , webex , microsoft live meeting , etc , etc ...very confusing

The bank's trick was dsigned to damage the owners. It has worked. But they should be more determined and get their cash out rather than sulking.

Trick? “Trick”?! Do Barclays make a habit of playing tricks on their customers? I don’t bank with them so don’t know. I mean the idea that they issued a loan or a mortgage and then changed the repayment date with no notice seems a little far fetched to say the least and pretty bad form. Has anyone else been “tricked” in this manner?

Also the inference that they did it on purpose to damage the owners is also a strange thing to say. Like they need any help in damaging their “reputation”.

We'll probably sign Jim Foureyes from Fleetwood under 7's for an undisclosed fee.

That deal is on hold pending some pointless mincing about as a source revealed to me last night in my head.

Yes, Venkys have dough. But they have been sulking a bit since this knock-back and need to get their act together.

have I missed something, but were the Rao's not going to clear all the debt? what is this over draft that the bank is calling in?

big question Nicko why did they need to borrow the 18 million in the 1st place ?? when they supposedly are minted...then sulk when the bank wants it back....doesn't make sense...

Nothing worse than sulky billionaire clowns is there? Especially when they’re running our football club.

Sulking because they have to pay back a mortgage. Yet, we have money to spend. Can it be both?

Do we really have deals on the table for Raul, Honda, Pavone, Mongugugugugula (or whatever his name was) and yet can’t afford to pay Barclay’s back?

Do we have money to spend and yet it was reported only yesterday that a Venky’s advisor was on his way to sell some players?

It’s all a load of bollock$ isn’t it? Please do try and sort it out Clowns.

One word on this bank subject - and no more.

I have heard who was advising them to pull the plug on the relationship. The owners have heard the same thing - that has now reached me via a circuitous route.

I would dearly love to have proof, but nobody is going to own up to that. I hope the owners come out and point fingers if they have any proof.

There are other clubs getting the squeeze from the bank this summer.

Rovers just got squeezed harder.

United got a little angry with the PJ transfer?

What other clubs though? And why the eff did Rovers get squeezed harder!?

Selling young players to pay for washed up stars is a sure fire way of being relegated.

Would you have called Tugs a washed up player at 33 ? or Scholes, or Giggs ?

Raul is better than what we have, he would be a great help and mentor to the likes of Hoilett, Olsson who could learn from him. Raul is a quality finisher, somethign we haven`t had at Ewood for ages, the guy is a legend not a washed up player

Nicko dear chap, I'm stunned. For a seasoned pro such as yourself to go out on a limb such as this scares me that you have discovered something illegal going on.

Why? Of the two versions of defamation in the UK (libel and slander) libel is defined as defamation written down which includes bulletin boards and websites. If someone thinks that what you have written about them is defamatory/damaging then the onus is entirely on you to prove that your comments are true in court. You know this of course as I believe you are skilled in the art of legal hand to hand combat. So basically I'm stunned that you should be prepared to make such allegations in the open like this. They must have substance.

I fully understand how banks work, both at the retail and investment banking end of things so a natural response would be that this is impossible even conspiritorial and illegal. Besides which we are dealing here with two publically quoted firms where any suggestion of wrong doing could significantly alter the share price and rack up the amount of any claim for consequential losses. The damages sought could be significant.

You don't need lessons from someone like me on this so you must be rock solid sure of your ground.

Is there anything that you could share with us on here or any further comments/clues? It sounds very serious and one heck of a story.

Perhaps "washed up" wasn't fair.

Selling a young player to pay for 12 months wages of a 34 year old is not sustainable in the slightest though.

I am playing conspiracy games in my head and am probably totally wrong but for a while now I can't help but feel there could be some sort of tenuous link between the sale of Jones, the leak of his release clause figure, and the recent behaviour of the bank in relation to our overdraft.

Even if I am way off the mark there are still some serious mysteries to be unravelled here...

Actually it would be slander and the onus would be on the plaintiff to prove they'd been damaged.

Could no one have picked up on it because there's a world of difference between two private individuals travelling and a well publicised visit from a premier league team and all the media attention surrounding it?

Hmm

Good point, but I would imagine that the likes of Samba, Robbo, Hoilett etc has a far more strict, and expensieve insurance on them than Kean and JJ? Yep, that's pretty cynical of Mrs. Desai.

Weird. Think it's weird for them to go to Pune now anyway, with HongKong on saturday. Oh well.

With alot of loan players, released players, staff and organisation people leaving Rovers, and having a manager in Kean with low wages compared to other Prem League managers, the wage strukture should be in healty conditions? or?

These players have left:

J.Jones

P.Jones

R.Santa Cruz

Z.Khizanishvili

J.Brown

MB Diouf

A.Doran

M.Rigters

T.Vastic

forgot someone?

Then add 3-4 from the staff and John Williams and some other from the boards.

Does anyone know J.Williams wages?

The rumours are getting silly now. Jensen has not gone to India, he is at Brockhall as we speak, FACT. Kean has gone on, nothing strange

Have you heard this nicko?

Raul? Again??

I'd like it. Won't happen. Already moved on.

Nobody's been right in here since this thread was started, so as far as I'm concerned, most have been wrong, apart from those with an opinion, and not a "source."

I'd say the only person here that's given us any insight that has been good has been Roberto Policano.

roberto is a great guy.

there's no pleasing some people.. "speaking in riddles" but then when i come out with the stuff i get "he's being a tit and an egotist!" i cannot win.

i can quite easily not post what i hear then ?? if its not valued. or just PM a select few ??

I used the speaking in riddles Zac, but it wasn`t a dig or a criticsm as such, just didn`t unerstand what you were saying as it was a bit cryptic - don`t be sensitive about it. More than happy to be PM`ed info as I value your ccontribution and if you decide that is the route your going down, i`m still happy to get news or rumour :-)

Oh come on Nicko, you know better than all this.

Throughout this takeover saga you have defended Venky's and Kean to the hilt. You've had a go at anyone who cares to criticise either party.

Isn't the truth that both Venky's and Kean, are out of their depth running a Premier League club? Surely if they aren't, we wouldn't be in this mess now. This is a marriage made in hell for Rovers fans.
