If i'm wrong and we don't invest then its a victory for you I guess
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 This transfer window has been nothing more than a monumental let down for Rovers fans, you still have time to pull us out of the Brown stuff Mrs D....... OPEN THE RUDDY PURSE STRINGS WOMAN!!
Rover & Out Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 does anybody have a link and/or copy of the Rovers accounts to the end of the most recent financial year? it's about time I put some of my accounting knowledge to good use!
67splitscreen Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Well look up ReluctantNicko - it's a very strange form of flattery if it's not him. Not worth following mind. I wasn't doubting what you said, well I was if you know what I mean anyway for all the Nickoteens. Nicko Love the first post ..... Vowed never to do this ....
mjwood00 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 I was suspicious/excited too at first. Then i realised you get more gossip down your gran's hairdressers. There are a good few journos/agents worth following though.
Pete1981 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 bbcjimspence jim spence by TomMarsland David Goodwillie proposed move to Blackburn Rovers dead. United say clubs agreed terms but player could not agree personal terms.
Pete1981 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Northern_Rover Northern Rover Looks like Goodwillie to Rovers not going to happen. couldn't agree personal terms. Another bites the dust.
Taggart Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Northern_Rover Northern Rover Looks like Goodwillie to Rovers not going to happen. couldn't agree personal terms. Another bites the dust. /maybe employing the Scouser technique - if you want to play for a bigger club and all that jazz
Backroom Tom Posted July 30, 2011 Backroom Posted July 30, 2011 bbcjimspence jim spence by TomMarsland David Goodwillie proposed move to Blackburn Rovers dead. United say clubs agreed terms but player could not agree personal terms. Hey thats me, although not me as I just retweeted it It's a disappointment but it's vital the next move is lined up as we need bodies in soon.
67splitscreen Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Well if we could not agree personal terms, the likes of Rangers, Blackpool and Borough have no chance. Taking a guess, I'd say we were offering probably triple what he is currently on with a BBQ chicken lunch thrown in for four years.
JAL Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Just of my own opinion that a decent amount of money will be re-invested, always believed that, its Kammy that said it will be an busy 10 days, I'm willing to wait longer. If i'm wrong and we don't invest then its a victory for you I guess Chris, it certainly wont be any victory to me if there is minimal investment come this summer.
T.J.Newton Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 another greedy little jobby, (if its true about goodwillie) im glad where not just giving in to player(agents) demands, its about time a prem club made a stand over greedy players/agents, players should have to prove there worth before making demands.
he6rt6gr6m Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 I think the most likely signings for this summer will be: Raul 2.5m Based on what? bbcjimspence jim spence by TomMarsland David Goodwillie proposed move to Blackburn Rovers dead. United say clubs agreed terms but player could not agree personal terms. I'm on twitter, as are quite a few people. Why copy and paste?
roverandout Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 ifts it true and we cant even offer an average spl player decent money what hope have we got with any proper signings, this is making me even more depressed.
Hughesy Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 ifts it true and we cant even offer an average spl player decent money what hope have we got with any proper signings, this is making me even more depressed. Where does it say we didn't offer decent money? I would b shocked if we didn't offer to at least triple his reported £5k wage. If he is holding out for 30k then more fool him!
chris Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 ifts it true and we cant even offer an average spl player decent money what hope have we got with any proper signings, this is making me even more depressed. If we got Samba, Jones, and Olsson to sign five year contracts, then this guy obviously wanted more thn he is worth and might not be more then a squad player. I had heard that the agent had not even discussed terms yet, so I don't know if its true.

sjsbrfc Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 The Scotsman is reporting that the hold up is at Dundee United's end "Goodwillie was expected to head south over the weekend to sign at Ewood Park but the 22-year-old and his representatives have not yet signed off his time at United. It's understood they are in discussions over contractual matters which have to be resolved with United before he can speak to Blackburn." http://www.scotsman.com/rangersfc/Rangers-refuse-to-give-up.6810387.jp

Yep, if he goes to any of those clubs then we know where the blame lies.

That's reassuring. thanks for clearing that up Nicko. I was worried he might be a not so Goodwillie.
67splitscreen Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 After running the Marica story and we know where that one ended up, I hope Nicko has this one right. , The Scotsman too.

So what's all the talk above about the deal turning sour on his wage demands about?
youandwhosearmy Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Must be easy being a journalist... You can be right or wrong...mostly wrong, however.
booth Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Wait. So what's all the talk above about the deal turning sour on his wage demands about? BBC bod and the guy who is on Twitter (his agent?) says deal is dead.
