I just read somewhere that Linganzi scored a sweet goal for Preston against Wigan in a friendly. Since when is he with Preston?? I don't remember hearing about him going anywhere, whether on trial, loan or purchase... anyone know anything about this?

I thought he'd be getting more of a chance this season.

Please dont refer to TEAM, team means all pulling together for one cause, I am, I am pulling for Rovers, Keans pulling for himself and Venkys to sell Chicken!!

And I will add this, ask pros in the game their opinion of Rovers at the moment, ask them, and post their comments on here if you dare, they are far worse than I could ever post!!

And,maybe just maybe, you could answer why our owners and manager are so unprofessional in what they do?

Ask them why in a pre season the manager and only striker we have are buggering about in India and more importantly, ask them to be honest and not lie to us continually!

Do you believe these guys more than our own "professional" players.........Nelsen, Roberts, Dunn, Salgado, MGP.........they seem to have a very positive view of the club don't they? Or are they lying?

(Oops! sorry DGS you beat me to it.)

I think he's on trial there, must admit I was a tad surprised when I heard, from what little I saw off him I thought he had quite a bit of potential, I also thought we might see more of him this season, he can't be that good if there's no other takers than PNE on trial.

its funny how all the newbys are shouting the odds on here, people are allowed their opinion, we dont all live in the rose tinted world you live in. Some of us are realistic enough to know that this has been a sh*t summer so far regarding incoming transfers.

Interested there has been so little news on the striker front, kind of hoping they are keeping hush on this one (something they have not exactly been good at to date) because it's starting to look like the new season will be interesting unless the plan is to play goodwillie straight off.

We must of been linked to 20 odd up to today... but now just a couple of low scoring second strikers. I guess we are now at the manic period for signings, got to be a few clubs who held out for to much, some loanies available and players may water down their wage demands.

Since we seem to be interested in alot of young scottish players, may I once again express an interest in one of my compatriots,

in Hibs Left Back- Callum Booth. The boy is one of the best players I've seen in Scotland. Will be playing in the premiership by next summer, our need for a pure left back back and our managers roots probably suggests we are looking at him.

Haven't seen an awful lot of Booth but I get leery of another Callum playing leftback at Rovers. Surely most of us can remember a certain Callum Davidson arrive with much fanfare and completely fizz out.

There's plenty of shouting down from the naysayers, some whom dont seem to believe that anybody who holds an alternative, calmer perspective should be allowed to air their views.

You've had plenty of your negative say, dont know what you're moaning about.

i think if we sign barton i might stop supporting rovers, i love the club and would still support them if we buy no players and get relegated two seasons in a row.

However, I have no desire to see a team full of thugs desecrating the shirt that i hold so dear, diouf was bad enough and i was gutted that we signed him

the thing about being a football supporter is that you've got to support your team, i'm not sure i can support a team with barton in it because he is an absolute scumbag

(apart from that rant, i'm quite looking forward to the new season, we've got loads of creativity in the side this year, i'm reasonably confident we'll sign some kind of finisher. the main question is whether kean has the managerial talent to get our defence organised - did the brilliance of jones in the closing stages of last season paper over the cracks of a poorly organised defence? only time will tell. anyway, i'm still excited)

unless we sign barton

Someone mentioned it had gone quiet on the striker front, other than Goodwillie, but what about the defence front as well as that is in a similar vein.

In my mind we need to get a quality striker, another striker, box to box midfielder and a defender who can cover a couple of positions at the back an dI will be a happy chappy - as long as they are good mind !

At the moment it seems we have the "anotehr striker" - option with goodwillie, the box to box / def midfielder in Petrovic, a winger in Veria all on the go thta have been in the press the last couple of days - not sure what else is going on though.

2 weeks to go and time is ticking........................

Punching ABOVE our weight? I'm sorry, but did you see our positioning last season?

We might occasionally get a decent result against the best in the league, but when we can't beat the likes of Wigan, we're most definitely NOT punching above our weight.

Every fan is entitled to their opinion. Even Vinjay. Don't set yourself as the standard to which every football fan should be.

Hang on! You think we have a RIGHT to be in this league? Wigan don't, I can assure you, just because you can find a "Comparable" don't think that makes us a statutory right to a place in the PL.

Ask Leeds, Forest, Southampton, Boro, Sheff Weds & United, in fact ask any fan of any of the bigger Towns or Cities than Blackburn that have a club, and you will see that we are up against it before we even kick a ball, are you forgetting how big our town is and how many other distractions any possible supporter has, before they rock up to Ewood?

Take a deep breath of coffee. If you can't see that we are punching above our weight, then you are in my view, totally deluded.

Yes, He's gone back to Preston to finish off what he started before he got injured fella.

Less than two weeks to go till the kick off and STILL.... NO signings !

How many have left the club is it more than eleven so far, and Kean looking at w@nkers like Andy Johnson all stronngly suggest its the championship here we come as this seems to be the most likely route Venky's & Kean have in store for us.

Fully agree.

It's time the, IMO, clowns who run our club woke-up and smelt the coffee.

A total joke as illustrated by Goodwillie turning-up to sign and then going back to Scotland, likely to be p1ssed-off.

Before I start this little rant, I'd like to point out a couple of things.

1) Im not a Venky's PR machine.

2) Im neither pro/anti Venky's, Im pro Rovers.

Why accuse our owners of Asset Stripping? What damn assets are there to strip? We've sold our best young player and that didnt even break Venky's even. We represent the best value for money tickets in the whole of the premier/football league. They could have raised the prices by hundreds should they wish. They did not.

If the trust were still in charge, and we were after the signings we are supposedly aiming for, I doubt there'd be the same uproar. Its quite clear to me that Venky's do have the clubs best interest at heart. What good would it do them to cock this up? (No pun intended)

We sold Jones for £16million plus and we were told the money would be available for reinvestment. We havent been paid the full amount in one, so we cannot reinvest the full amount in one. Plus, if the banks decide they want to keep hold of the cash, what exactly do you expect Balaji and company to do. I know he looks like he'd be capable of it but I doubt they'll be planning an Indian Oceans 11 style raid on the vaults of Barclays Bank.

In all honesty some of the posters on here will not be happy whoever we sign, however little/however much we spend, whoever the manager is, however many season tickets we sell etc etc.

And do you know what? There is NOTHING we can do about the ownership of the club. They have bought it. It is theirs. All this ranting and raving - VENKY'S OUT VENKYS OUT rubbish will do nothing other than bring down the atmosphere at fortress ewood. Get behind the team, even if there is only 9 of them at the start of the season, stop slating the potential new signings before they've even arrive. If you were Goodwillie etc and you took a look at this forum, or heard about it at least, and saw your potential 'supporters' ripping you to shreds before you'd even kicked a ball, you know what, I'd probably think sod it aswell. Not every player is solely interested in their wage.

I'm not a pessimist, I'm not unambitious, I'm realistic.

Get behind the blue and whites or stay at home, sod your season tickets and LEAVE THIS CLUB ALONE!!!!!

A good, well intentioned post Roverino but you only have to read the posts by the two peanuts above to realise that your efforts are wasted on some.

Yeah lets compare with The Trust, they stopped giving us any money for transfers around 2007/2008 and it was decreed on here that that would only end one way and they were slaughtered by some.

Venky's are continuing the Trust policy of re-investing SOME transfer fees and putting in nothing of their own money and this is seen as a positive by the very same people?

Nothing has changed from The Trust era.

Now, if BRFC are still a buy cheap sell high club, lets here it from the owners and stop the BS.
