Can't be bothered bringing the Jermaine Jones thread back to life but apparently his wife wants to stay in England.

Oh and I would!

A season long loan for JJ would be great, absolutely noway at £10m though.

Another deal that could run and run.

of course deryk i will get behind the team on the opening day of the season, i wont be chanting the venkys name or baldy's. Doesnt mean to say i cant show my frustration off the pitch. Do you think i take any great delight in being 'negative' as you call it? of course i dont, but where are the positives so far this summer? we were promised a great summer by the venkys and so far they have failed to deliver, big time. When there are some positives i will revise my opinion and i dont count signing a mickey mouse league player as a big positive. You might want to live in this 'venkys are wonderful' bubble but i dont.

Agree with this.

My main issue is that we have been promised great things over and over again since the takeover. It has seemed like a constant barrage of promises to try to get and keep the fans onside.

Problem being that none of the promises have been kept.

I don't understand how people can defend the owners after all their broken promises.

You might want to watch Goodwillie play before making any judgement on him.

From what I hear, a lot of Scottish fans and the people who watched him play rate him very highly.

black burn, look im not knocking goodwillie, hes a decent player and would make a good impact sub but hes not the answer to all our goalscoring problems. We cant go into the new season with goodwillie and roberts up front otherwise we will be in the sh*t. If venkys do manage to bring a top striker to the club and stop wasting money on player we dont need, ie the portugeese fella then i might cut them some slack.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist just been on the BBC Scottish news saying he is very sorry to have missed out on Goodwillie. Then went on to say he has had a medical at Blackburn and Rangers have given up the attempt,as they could not match the Rovers terms. He looked really disappointed, and he is a pretty fair judge of a goalscorer.

Sorry Fife, but I guess you're a Jock. Where would you rather play if you were a professional footballer. The EPL or the SPL. No brainer really. Rangers are a great side but the quality of the opposition isn't

Looks like we have won the race. Petrovic hopefully just needs day or two anymore. Who´s next? Are we searching strikers? Defintely one more is needed. If Samba won´t leave I don´t see defence need more players. I still think Schalke will give up their stupid demands and Jones isn´t too expensive when summer window is closing. His wage demands is another story. Schalke don´t want him and the players family enjoyed it in Lancashire. Maybe it will turn for everyone´s favour.

Would be nice to know about possible Rovers´ next moves. Glen, Kamy, anyone?

How dare you? (Just joking) I am a Lancashire lad born and bred, and the only Scottish relatives I have are my grandchildren. I have lived Scotland nearly 40 years having been moved up on promotion in my job. But although I love the place and the country I would not even consider moving back down South, I am 100% happy that Rovers have signed this player. And another thing as well As far as I am concerned both Rangers and Celtic are the ABSOLUTE pits. The very worst examples of football clubs anywhere.

Now add to that I have been an ardent supporter of Blackburn Rovers since 1946, and am looking forward to my 65th anniversary as fan in November this year.

I hope that sorts a few things out for you about where my loyalties really lie.
