booth Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Nah, we're just getting wages off the books so we can sign someone else. I reckon Andrews wages may go towards JJ's, if we can get JJ back on loan that is.

Mattyblue Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Nicko didn't get that much abuse, no more so than most prolific posters. However, other heavy posters don't have their own fanclub, so swings and roundabouts
Backroom DE. Posted August 3, 2011 Backroom Posted August 3, 2011 All of the Ipswich fans I've spoken to are pretty excited by Keef's signing for them. I wonder if we'll insert a clause where we can recall him should he be needed? We don't have that much depth atm. It'd be nice to think that Andrews' loan signals our confidence that we're going to bring in another one or two players... but that would make too much sense for Kean or Venky's
callumrovers Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 If we sign jj aswell we are deffo heading for top 10 next season!
alexanders Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Linked with a new name today:Miguel Torres The article translated with google translate from spanish to english: he only thinks in Getafe Blackburn Rovers and QPR are interested in Miguel Torres Enlarge Miguel Torres (Madrid, 1986), the right side Getafe have good poster in England. Two teams from the Premier League, Blackburn Rovers, where he plays Michel Salgado, and newly promoted Queen's Park Rangers have shown interest in joining their ranks this season. Torres Islands is known for his performances for Real Madrid. The Madrid side enjoyed the confidence of Fabio Capello, the current England coach, who is one of the greatest propagandists of Miguel Torres in British football. Many athletic directors of the Italian clubs often consult when they have some interest in a Spanish player, because he knows every inch of the League. Steve Kean, the Northern team manager, is most interested in Torres, after the overall good performance of another former Real Madrid player, Michel Salgado, on the computer. "It is a pleasure to remember one, but they treat me nicely Getafe" Blackburn is in the catchment area of Liverpool, Manchester and Bolton, in an area of England where there is a big football fan. The QPR need experienced players on his return to the Premier. Miguel Torres, said he was unaware whether or not a firm offer of both clubs to incorporate. "I am a Getafe player, here I am happy and I am concerned only be doing a good job in preseason to my coach telling me to go this season," he said, adding that any offer must be communicated to the club Mallard and his representative. It refused, however, that English football attracts him: "I love the Premier's true. I think football could very well go to my terms. The stadiums are beautiful, are always filled and hobbies are great. A paradise for any player. " "But that does not mean there is something. It is a pleasure to remember one, but they treat me nicely Getafe," he said. ►
imy9 Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Excellent pedigree and Salgado knows him too, wonder if anyone can confirm an official interest.
BigBar Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Reading Big Jases twitter last night, had a meeting with the owners apparently. Said things were very promising and that more players were on the way....

daveoftherovers Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Reading Big Jases twitter last night, had a meeting with the owners apparently. Said things were very promising and that more players were on the way.... It would be nice if the owners would share some of this with us, perhaps they will get their act together before the Wolves game and do something decent on the communication front? Also, is it just me or is this board more positive this week? Is the gloom lifting a bit? Anyone think that JJ might turn up soon? Yes, I think this is possible, both with his wife and himself "Digging in."
booth Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 I think people are happy that the owners are being seen to get involved. Also two players having Medicals in a week - two sensible players as well.

Jay-Rovers Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Roversinsider on twitter is very active at the moment. Mainly talking about the samba and spurs offer but also mentioning that on top of the 3 players we are meant to be buying, then the club is also looking to bring in loan players aswel. If true then its good news and something to look forward to. The post above just beat me to it.

Roost Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 From Nicko on Twitter: For those who like their Rovers intrigue. Deffo new agents at work. Both in and out. Interesting times
joey_big_nose Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Look at this eleven: Robinson Salgado, Samba, Nelsen/Givet, Olsson Rochina, Nzonzi, Petrovic, Hoilett Formica, Goodwillie This team has relegation written all over it in huge letters. Slow defence with no real cover, untried midfield with people playing out of position and lightweight forwards. We really need some proper quality before we get started. I agee that we can't go in that inexperienced, but it is pretty exciting. Rearrange it like this and it seems a bit better:- ---------------------Robinson Salgado----Nelsen-----Samba----Olsson -------------Petrovic-------Nzonzi ----Viierinha-----Formica------Hoilett --------------------Goodwillie I would say that we probably need two more experienced players in there - on CM and upfront - to give a bit of backbone. Do much prefer young skillful players above to career jouneymen. We are never going to be able to afford established top ten players unfortunately and have not done so since Andy Cole rocked up (well maybe with the exception of Savage). Bellamy, McCarthy, Cruz, Benley etc etc were all untested, prone to injury or unstable.
bob fleming Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Afternoon all, Í´m on holiday at the moment - which is nice. Could someone do me a big favour and tell me who we´ve signed and who the new shirt sponsor is? I´ve 7 mins left on this PC. Cheers in advance.

Could someone do me a big favour and tell me who we´ve signed and who the new shirt sponsor is? I´ve 7 mins left on this PC. Cheers in advance. David Goodwillie is signing today (don't try any jokes, they've been done to death already...) Petrovic is signing if/when his work permit comes through, hopefully any day now. We've bid for a winger called Vieirinha apparently, he was the player of the year in the Greek league last season. Nothing else on the horizon really apart from Samba interesting Spurs. No sponsor.

Could someone do me a big favour and tell me who we´ve signed and who the new shirt sponsor is? I´ve 7 mins left on this PC. Cheers in advance. Goodwillie from Dundee looks like he will sign today. Radosav Petrovic is imminent too. Kalinic looks set to depart to Dnipro very soon. Shirt sponsor still not confirmed. Kean saying he is hopeful of bringing in 3 players before start of the season.
brian_gallagher85 Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Goodwille almost done. Still waiting on a work permit for the other lad. No sponsor yet and I think that's it. Nicko on Twitter seems to think we're going to do some more business. Oh and Samba linked with Spurs.
bob fleming Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Cheers for that. All the Goodwillie jokes have been done LeChuck? Can he hold the ball up? Does he make himself big?
