What I don't understand is what do Venky's expect to pay. They themselves talk about marquee signings, it is obvious to us all that they are going to cost a serious amount of money. Marquee signings require marquee money. Chances are the next marquee will be cheaper and steadily it will get cheaper and cheaper as the club becomes more known and respected. At the moment we should be expecting to pay through the teeth for players who could quite easily slot into much better sides.

He will change the image of Rovers for the better just by donning the shirt, the effect this could have not on only future signings, but our current squad, our overall image and so on is surely worth serious amounts of money. Him being at the club could entice well known managers to us also if Kean does happen to leave. It is not as if we will ever see this money anyway, they are looking for some bargain marquee player and unfortunately they don't exist.

Kean himself said: "Maybe we have to pay over the odds to ensure we get players here" - I just wish they would do it. I am so bored of Venky's now, I wish they would just spend some money and stop playing around.

Oh for gods sake wtf is going on atm.. If Makey is right then I am guessing Schalke decided on a bidding war.. but such a public turn down if the player didn't say that is simply daft unless he is also getting something from it.
