Sounds more like a Kean idea that the owners didn't warm to in my opinion. Raul was for the past two summer has been a realistic marquee signing, not another Ronaldinho.

So kammy says its off, and zac says its on, i hope they dont take this the wrong way, but have either of these two stated something that has eventually come true? I honestly dont know, that many ITK's on here now i cant keep up.

This is not to impugn Zac but Kamy is incredibly professional and does multiple checks. You would be amazed by the people he gets to talk to and how incredibly thorough.

The knocking of the "ITKs" is actually masking the reality of Rovers this summer. I doubt that as much as 5% has been made up whilst perhaps another 20% has come from rumours derived from creative linking of factoids- the 2 + 2 = 5 syndrome.

The reality is that Rovers have been headless chickens scampering round the football yard all summer. An awful lot of the conflicting stories have genuinely been true as people have picked up the reality that Venky's haven't had the first clue what they were doing as they blundered from discovery to discovery as we laughed/cried because a simple conference call to a small group off this web site would have told them what it has literally cost them millions of pounds in mistakes to find out.

The de facto firing of the old management remains stupidity of the highest possible order.

As for Rao. This is a credibility issue for Balaji and Balaji alone. He can get him if he wants to. The latest consensus is he has taken his bangles away again.

Last I heard from Zac, Raul wants to come, fee around 3m, his club want 4m, the player is interested but not sure the son is anymore as philipl has stated.

If that's the case then Balaji is an idiot, well infact so are Venkys.

For a player of that class to want to come play at Ewood and them to turn their noses up at it just shows their stupidity.

We've made £16.5m from Phil Jones going. We've also clawed back a lot of wages with some of the other players leaving. I suspect Diouf will soon go as will Kalinic.

I just hope they see what a coup getting Raul would be not only from a headliner point of view but also on the pitch. Could be difference between us finishing in the top and bottom half in my opinion. It'd also mean more TV coverage.

Raul would be good for the Rovers TV time and would spark interest in the club in other quarters. I really hope they bring him in. Raul, Goodwillie, Rochina, Roberts, Blackman is not the worse strike force.

blackman hasnt impressed when ive seen him. dont think he has the touch, mobility, or finishing ability to be a top level player.

agree with you on raul. to miss out on him for a 2nd time in 2 years would be criminal. IMO

his wages would be huge.. but he would raise the interest in rovers, the clubs profile.. and more importantly the supporters spirits.
