[Archived] Who is roverinsider?

Recommended Posts

So, DeftAngel, the January signings weren't paid for by £5m of Venkys own money then but using an overdraft against the club? If that IS the case, and the future model, then we are actually worse of than being the unwanted child of the Trust... at least then we had people at the club who knew how to maximise revenue from player sales.

You are putting your finger on one of many concerns several of us have.

Here is an interesting tweet....

MarpleLeaf Michael Taylor

RT @3enjy: When Roversinsider asked what he thought of Alan Nixon " he is a well informed journalist #Rovers” ha ha >> Gotcha

Might explain why some people repost his tweets.

I don't understand twitter sometimes. What does that mean Phillip?

OVERDRAFT...some people seem very confused still, ok here goes, it was £18m, Jones first payment (£8.25m) taken, rest owed to bank #Rovers @roverinsider

OVERDRAFT...only AFTER the Kalinic money hits the bank will the agreement be confirmed, THEN we can input the £10m for transfers #Rovers @roverinsider

OVERDRAFT...without it being swallowed by bank. Hope that's slightly clearer. Not the easiest concept to explain #Rovers @roverinsider

I see this guy's off again posting detailed 'facts' about Rover's banking facilities.

Perhaps i'm being naive here, but to be party to this level of detail, he must either be an employee of the Rover's accountancy firm, or at a fairly high-level in the bank?

It has to be complete fabrication doesn't it?

Or he buys his mate a pint on the way home.

OVERDRAFT...some people seem very confused still, ok here goes, it was £18m, Jones first payment (£8.25m) taken, rest owed to bank #Rovers

roversinsider Blackburn Rovers Spy

OVERDRAFT...leaves £1.5m, which is where the Kalinic money comes in. The reason they still needed a facility is because.. #Rovers

OVERDRAFT...Jones' money won't be paid for over a year. Kalinic initial £1.5m will go to make it up to £18m eventually #Rovers

OVERDRAFT...but the whole £4m guaranteed for Kalinic is available to the bank as security due to prior non payment #Rovers

Overdraft at default £18m

Paymment by £16.5m Jones plus first £1.5m Kalinic. Then there must be fees and interest etc which is why the additional £4m from Kalinic is being taken as security on a once bitten twice shy basis.

That is how I read those tweets. If that shape of agreement gets formally put in place, then £10m new cash (from a loan or Venky's) could arrive and the bank wouldn't take it.

As things stand, Kalinic is on the beach in Croatia and all of this academic if roversinsder is correct.

BKR, that copy of a tweet was complete garbage. It didn't even add up.

Start with 18mill add in and take off the figure mentioned.

18 million owed to Barclays

P Jones transfer 16.5

18- 16.5 = 1.5

1.5 is the money coming from Kalinic transfer

Means that the loan is paid off.

Either the owners are putting in 10 million or they are taking out a new loan.

:D philipl beat and explained it clearer than I could :P

What grates most of all with this is it was potentially entirely avoidable, even ignoring Venkys reluctance to put their hands in their own pockets...

1. We didn't want Phil Jones to leave

2. Man Utd wanted him and he wanted Man Utd

3. There was a release clause of c. £16m.

4. We honoured thus agreement

5. We let Man Utd pay in instalments

6. We end up in difficulties with our bank because of the timings (allegedly).

Why didn't we change point 5. to "We force Man Utd to pay the full amount upfront"? Then we wouldn't have needed the overdraft and wouldn't have had point 6.

I'm probably being too simplistic but I don't see why we've got to this point. Are Venkys really that naive or am I...?

Bon-Bon disclosing where the leaks are at the club, hope his source is reading.

How many people do we employ in the finance dept at Ewood. Could be one less soon.

We all crave the news but all these leaks are doing nothing but feeding the rag tops with more ammunition to shoot the club down.

Apologises to bonbon it is roverinsider making the statement, twitter gets a little confusing at times.

I have to say going through postings on this site PHILIPI sounds and writes very much like roversinsider. He seems to have an agenda to demoralise and cause unrest on completely unsubstantiated rumours which he presents as fact.Whilst I do realise this is a forum for debate on all things rovers,I cannot believe that there are so many people being sucked in by his schoolboy scaremongering with regards to BRFC`s financial affairs. Banks do not simply operate in such a manner ie making account holders details an open debate in the public domain.Neither will any organisation allow its financial strategies to be freely perused by the local milkman ,window cleaner etc. Now Im pretty sure, everyone has to agree,In order for Venkys to become as successful, you have to have a little bit of savvy with regards to overdrafts etc. irrespective of whether its a football club ,builders merchants or massage parlour. Up to now as far as I know,The majority of potential signings have simply been conjecture,The only three offically announced targets have been Anderson,Povovic and mongo and we are fully aware of their outcomes thus far as told us by the club.Steve Keen has told us he wants to make the neccessary signings, the owners are happy to back him and offers have been made for players wanted to improve the squad. These are all facts, and they all sound good to me.The likes of Roversinsider (PhilipI)have the agenda of someone with an axe to grind.
