He looks like another Keith Andrews to me albeit with a foreign surname. You cant expect to much from 2 million pound nobodies signed from the european leagues. We need experieced premier league players but these players are unwilling to play for us under the current regime and clown manager. Relegation looks a certainty unless drastic changes occur and soon.

He's only played ONE full game, FFS. Why are people so quick to write off our new players? Even "proven" PL players have taken time to bed in before, so that argument has little merit.

I think the fact that we have no points out of 9 might have something to do with it. Central midfield is one of THE key positions, if he takes as long as Formica to "adjust" we'll already be down by then.

We are not in a position to wait for new signings to settle in. If they need time, they were the wrong signings.

I think the midfield already looks stronger with someone like Petrovic playing alongside Nzonzi.

We signed Savage for £4m, a proven PL midfielder, and I remember he looked a bit ###### in his first few games. Every player needs time to settle down. The fact he's already played more games than Formica did last season tells me he won't need that much bedding in.

He needs time but have Rovers got the time very much touch and go here.

Amidst all the doom & gloom on here I thought I might bring a bit of good news. Rado was in action last night and have to say although he was on for only 20 mins he was totally magnificent in what he did. Defensively he is a very good player holds onto the ball when under pressure very well. When stepping out of midfield and making a forward pass has excellent vision. Passing is very accurate hardly ever gives the ball away and his ball retention is very good. He is not afraid to shoot from distance and makes space for himself very well. I also feel this guy could fill the Tugay role very well very accomplished, confident & comfortable on the ball could be a real coup and for 2.5M is a snip and could turn out to be the bargain of the transfer window.

This scary.

Petrovic, Ribeiro and Anderson- half our signings this summer looking utter duds.

Anderson agreed, Ribeiro was puzzling but to say Petrovic looks a dud is nonsense IMO.

Many wrote J Jones off after one game and according so some Formica couldn't trap a ball.

I can't wait for Yakuba to miss a chance, Vukcevic to misplace a pass and Dann to make an error so we can write them off as well.

Petrovic was very poor against Everton. Looked like a rabbit in the headlights. Nobody is writing him off but plenty are concerned.

Prepared to give him some time but Kean has had his. Kean out!

Since when was this about Kean?

Ince signed Robinson, doesn't mean he's a bad player.

Petrovic may be a big player for us or he could be the next Goulon / Andrews as its a tough position to get up to speed in this league in.

OMG! everyone with a brain knew that Sav would be a good signing! you cannot compare a young balkan (maybe decent?) with a seasoned premiership player of 10+ years. What you say is a joke and an insult to a proper player who made a contribution to this club - I know you will say that you are only using this as an example but maybe you should pick grabbi or kev davies instead? or maybe just let the guys record speak for itself?

The point he was making was that even a seasoned pl later needs time to settle in, no point using Grab or Kev because they didn't settle in!

you are right about one thing let Pets record speak for itself and it is impressive for someone so young.

Looks a different player in International games, my worry is his pace or lack of it, yes he can pass a ball but he did seem very slow both against Sheff Wed and Everton, maybe with games he can 'sharpen up'

Petrovic will turn out OK. He's no world-beater but he's got the potential to be a solid defensive midfielder in this league - it's a shame he's working under Kean as manager, which will only hinder his development, but fingers crossed that won't be the situation for much longer. I think Petrovic could really push on and establish himself under a manager like Hughes. Look what Hughes got out of Mokoena!

Precisely, Petrovic needs a manager at Rovers.
