I have watched both his performances so far and he was not the player I was hoping for!

Early days yet though, and remember thinking the same Of Sherwood. Let's hope he improves as Sherwood did.

He wasn't as bad as people were making out either (one or two mislaid passes aside which i'll put down to nerves...just remembered the sitter against Shef Weds too!).

Anyway, I certainly didn't pick up on any major defensive mistakes which is the most important thing for someone in that position in his early days.

This guy is bloody useless and to think so many fans slated Andrews for how he played. At least Keith looked like getting a goal or two a season. This waste of space offers nothing!

Impossible to judge him at this point... especially playing in a team managed by Kean. He's got no recognisable formation or shape to play in, so I'm not surprised he looks lost. Most of our team do.

First match, he looks half the player that Andrews is!! So weak, needs to bulk up. He will get battered in this league unless he bulks up fast. Lets hope its just first game nerves. Hmmm!!

I spoke with him before the fulham game he seemed a very quiet, meek, intimidated guy, sadly his performances on the pitch can also be described with the same words.

however you can also add poor passer, scared or unable to head and never jumps bringing him and Lowe on effectively ruined our midfield, who would have thought we would be wishing for Andrews to replace him....

On today's evidence he looks useless. Bring back Keith! For a defensive midfielder he never tackles and always stands off then disappears. Passing was at best totally unimaginative and obvious. God help us with him and the crock Dunn. His ineptitude is not surprising as the only other club that wanted to sign him was a little outfit in Holland.

Might be a tad harsh but from what ive seen so far he looks out of his depth,only attempts to pass it sideways or backwards and couldnt even do that very well,didnt break up much fulham attacks and gave away stupid frees..the only slight positive was him proving useful at defending corners with his headers... Guess we just have to wait and see if he improves with time...

Steve Keans tactics are making our best players look average, so I can't judge any of our new boys yet.

He's definitely struggling with the pace of the league. Tough to say he's not good enough yet though.

This was the first time that I really got to see him play. I thought that there were times when players went by him too easily and he gave some sloppy passes. There were other times, when he kept the ball well and made some interceptions. This might sound stupid, but he looks like a player who is very much suited to international football; where the pace is slower, keeping the ball and playing simple passes are more important. I'm not writing him off. There are signs that he has talent, but there is also the need for rapid improvement.

I think some of the criticism he is getting 2-3 games in, is abit unfair. He looked ok today (6/10). He won a few more headers this time around and didnt look too bad on the ball.....he just needs to start getting stuck in and stop being slow on the ball.

He is one that will take time to get up to speed but he will be fine. Doesnt help that he is always playing with NZonzi too, who isnt exactly the best partner for him......we need Petrovic to be the defensive man on his own, we dont need two in the same midfield against teams like Fulham.

Agree Hughesy, I think he's getting a lot of unfair stick on here.

He's no Jermaine Jones, but then Jones had a lot more experience and came from a much higher standard of league than Petrovic. The lad is an international so he has the talent, he just needs time to adjust. It won't help that he's playing in a team that doesn't really know what they're meant to be doing. I imagine he's used to working within some kind of solid formation or structure.
