Seriously Phillip if you stop looking at Jones with the Blue and White tints, there is no question who is the better player, Wilshere is the same bloke who looked as good as Xavi and Iniesta in CL last season, I look forward to reminding you of your comment next season.

Guessing you didn't see much of xavi and iniesta last year then? They were a class above anybody else

"I'm extremely happy to have agreed everything and know it will be a nervous couple of weeks until the work permit panel," the 22-year-old told skysports.com. "But I hope that everything will be okay.

"I want to thank Partizan and Blackburn for making this happen, and thank you also to all the Partizan fans."

He added: "I'm looking forward to starting the next stage of my career and playing in the Premier League."

So he doesn't automatically qualify, but has to appeal for his case, hence the delay. OR he's backing away from the deal as philipl has heard.

I think imy9 is referring to one game in particular. If he is then he is 100% correct, Wilshere was absolutely immense in that game.

Thats what I was referring to.

He was awesome in that game and I think Xavi or Iniesta stated after the game how impressed they were with him.

How the feck do you work that out from that article?

Like the sound of this guy. Many great serbs in the history and Adam Ljajic, Milos Krasic springs to mind of this generation Serbs.

I said the rumour he was back with Partizan was disturbing.

Yes of course he has to go home to Serbia to collect his work permit but going back to his current club is a different matter altogether if that rumour is true.

All I am doing is acknowledging there is a rumour.

Or just covering your back.

You could have stated it was a rumour and you thought nothing of it, yet you still put it out here.

Well until the work permit comes through. He is till there player. So why not go back and train to keep fit and ready.

He can still use their training facilities, make sense that he would do that. He was probably instructed to do that by some one at Rovers. Can't have him sitting around eating Quavers for a couple of weeks while his permit comes through.

Radosav Petrovic has told skysports.com of his delight at edging closer to completing his move to Blackburn Rovers

Jones and Wilshere play in different positions so to say one is better than the other is wrong. You are deluded if you think Wilshere is on the same level as those Xavi and Iniesta.

Anyone seen news on Petrovic or is he another to have slipped through the hole in the bottom of Venky's net ?

Best young English player in the league, is what Phillip said, Wilshere is better_ no doubt.

Wilshere was as good as xavi and iniesta in that Barca game, that's a big enough compliment for a 19 year old Englishman.

Come on Phil, he's been quoted.

I don't see anything underneath about him returning home. It's a big move let's face it.

Jones is a top centre half, Wilshere is a fine midfield player - one is not better than the other. Like comparing chalk and cheese.

Xavi and Iniesta are world greats and have been for years - Wilshere's very promising at this stage and nothing more.

Meanwhile, still no Petrovic news ....is he coming or is it more Venky's pie in the sky ?

He's awaiting a work permit, do you want an update every hour saying still waiting?

SSN understands that Petrovic is currently in the toilet having a poo. There is no news of its colour or consistency, but the Opta stats say it will take him 6 minutes 48 seconds from locking the cubicle door.

Seriously, all Phillipl's guff is simply desperate. He's a young man on the verge of a move out of his home country. So why shouldn't he stay near his family and friends for a few days until the paperwork is sorted out? Some people just want to believe that the world is going to end, there are ulterior motives at work etc.

Better than Phil Jones even as a defensive midfielder... sorry that is impossible.

The point I am making is that Phil Jones is the best young player in England.

Jones is a top centre half, Wilshere is a fine midfield player - one is not better than the other. Like comparing chalk and cheese.

Xavi and Iniesta are world greats and have been for years - Wilshere's very promising at this stage and nothing more.

Jones has been used primarily as a centre midfield player by us last season, the quote was "best young player in England" not best young centre half (which would be PJ IMO)

I did not say that Wilshere is better than Xavi and Iniesta BUT he is certainly MILES ahead of Jones and the evidence was that Barca game where he showed that he could match them both.

Petrovic is a coming to Rovers- fee agree, contract signed, medical passed, just needs a work permit which should be straight forward- Niko's took over a week last year.

Oh no you need at least 12 minutes. I have lost all respect for the man. Cancel the signing!!
