Just a heads up for anyone interested.

Got a phone call today about the end of season players awards which have this time been turned into pre season type bash.

It's on 16th Aug (Tues) and tickets are £100 + Vat for anyone who fancies it. Sorry can't respond to PM as abroad so ring the commercial & marketing team n ask for Jenny.

I heard that Jason Roberts wasn't there either (as well as Ryan Nelsen) - anybody else not there who you thought might have been?

Dont listen to whoever told you then - Roberts was there.

Missing was Nelsen (kids broken arm), Samba (missus ill...hmmmm) and Givet (ill)

I like to give out a speical award to Steve Kean for displaying the worse defense I have ever seen at Blackburn on Saturday.

Can anyone remember a worse group of defenders, even Peacock, Dailly, Valery and Croft would have walked into that side.

Holliet and Robinson class though so deserved.

He might as well have done - he can afford to get hammered now he gets a taxi everywhere.

Extremely interesting that Samba was not there, and has not been on twitter for a long time. :(

I also asked Hanley why Samba wasnt there, he acted dumb and said he wasnt sure if he was or not.

Oh dear lord. To me that reads as Samba is off. Ouch. Thanks for brilliant info though!

I used to think Vince Grella was rude - collecting a wage slip every month, and doing absolutely nothing to deserve it. Turning up to the Awards Evening is downright cheeky.
