Everytime I've seen Rochina he looks dangerous I agree he could be a real force for us this season.

I rate him highly too, thought in the Everton game he looked really good.

I think that he thought you were referring to Goodwillie and didn't take the context of your post into account.

I know he doesn't. I was talking about Petrovic.

Someone (jim mk2, I believe) accused the Venkys of not willing to spend any money when he heard Goodwillie's deal hit a snag. I pointed out that if Venkys really didn't want to spend money, they wouldn't have finalized Petrovic's deal, pending only the work permit. Hence if there is a snag in signing Goodwillie, it wouldn't be because Venkys aren't willing to spend money to sign him.

This is how it relates to the Goodwillie thread. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

It's relentless.

Our moronic fans bitch about every little thing. I mean, F*** me, Cesc's proposed transfer to Barca has been the most protracted transfer I can ever remember, yet their fans know they will get him eventually, so they don't bitch about it. We have a minor complication with one of the players we try to sign (which will delay the transfer by no more than 2 days) and all our fans hit the panic button! Pathetic.

No, I am not comparing us to Barca. Yes, I know there are reports that we messed up the Pavone transfer, but they are just that, reports, this guy we are actually trying to get and we know the interest is genuine. But FFS, have some damn patience! I said at the time that I didn't expect to see this transfer completed until Monday, and that is still the case. So cheer up, quit bitching, and look forward to next week when we can finally announce the signings of 2 young, exciting prospects.

Do you not think everything should be kept hush, hush, until the player, IS, signed. Then you might not get so such negativity after weve seen such a summer of frenzied activity where the players out column totally dwarfs the players in column, so far.

So basically its like selling you iphone on ebay for £400 and then while you waiting for paypal payment another bidder cames in asking if you will take £320 even though he knows you have agreed £400.

That probably happens.

Good Rangers are fighting, I know SPL is a poor league but they are the top dog at least and would have seen him a lot.

But of course he isn't going to reveal all of his transfer plans, so I would take that comment with a pinch of salt.

He says we have 3-4 bids out there atm, which is good news.

So who has been impersonating DU's chairman?. Unless he is referring to bids other than Goodwillie and Petrovic as in his mind they are done deals.

If Rangers improved offer was £1.8M thier first offer must have been pretty lousy. Are Rangers really that skint?

Hopefully we can get this lad signed up - seems a good deal for the money.

Ive saw goodie play loads over the last two years

hes won the young player of the year the last two years and has 1 year left on his contract

i would not describe him as an out and out striker as there more to his game

'very very determined player - hes not the type of player to just stand about up front waiting for the ball if theirs no supply he will go get the ball himself

'very strong Ive never saw him bullied off the ball

'greedy streak about him when inside the box.

'got a bit of skill about him

'takes his chances well, but in the two games hes played in this year hes missed 3 chances(heads been turned i think)

'creates just as many as he scores for himself and others

i guess you can work out that i think hes got the potential to be great player in this league in the next few seasons his game suits the epl

Im gonna say it......hes the future of Scottish football

im glad about this deal,Dundee utd have not been bulled by the ugly sisters who ruin players as fast as man city and rovers are getting a very good player.

just a note on the charges that have been brought up about him

- the rape charge that has been dropped according to the papers he was at a new years party at the Scottish borders with an ex united player David Robertson and the girl was at the same party.

-he was involved in some fight where he knocked out a ruby player, similar to Wayne Rooney and Micheal gray, the ruby player started it and goodie ended it

-he was involved in a fight outside a night club in Glasgow with rangers or Celtic fans cant remember which, he only got involved when one of the fans attacked and knocked his best mate at the club out cold.

i bring these up because some poster said he seam like Mr Barton hes far from it,just a guy that's prob been a bit naive in the past

*i count the spl as the same level as the championship (well the top 6 teams anyway)
