Rovers boss Steve Kean is eager to meet Goodwillie before his transfer to the English Premier League is signed off. But the club only returned from a pre-season trip to Hong Kong on Monday morning and the pair are yet to hold face-to-face talks.

Is Kean even back?

I don't think they will accept Rangers bid. Dundee and Rangers hate each other, and he doesn't want Goodwillie to end up with their bitter rivals. Unless they offer more than us, I don't expect him to accept their bid, even if they match us.

For start it is Dundee United the lad plays for NOT Dundee, said the other day would not be happy with this signing unless we sign a more experienced striker aswel at a decent price.the lad has potential but i'm still holding out hope we splash 10 million on Cisse or Podolski

I'd eat my hat if we did that.

Oh, shut up! I know the difference, but I am not going to post Dundee United every time I post about them.

While we're at it I've highlighted a few of your errors

Edit: Thought I would add, for the members without a sense of humour, I'm just messing there. Laborious though it is to have to point that out.

Cryer was saying that Kean, Nelsen, Roberts and Gamst are in Pune

You mentioned Modibo Maiga earlier looks a good player have we bid for him? if we are close to signings why the hell would Kean be in India, surely he would want to meet the players before they signed

Doesn't mention Kean. Maybe Cryer is wrong? But why would some of the team be over there without Kean and the rest of the squad?

Rangers to make another bid in the next couple of hours.

Supposedly...

Let me guess, £1.98m? They are a joke. They know what UNITED want, so if they really want him they should just match our bid. Maybe they are only bidding to save face with their fans, who desperately want them to sign Goodwillie.

If they really want him why don't they just match the bid. Why are they expecting things to change by bidding slightly more but less than our bid?

"Rangers will have no chance of hijacking David Goodwillie’s move to Blackburn unless they can strike a deal at the fifth time of asking.

The Ibrox club have already had four offers rejected by Dundee United for the striker, but were preparing to table yet another bid this morning.

It is understood talks between the two SPL clubs resumed first thing after Ally McCoist urged owner Craig Whyte to push the boat out.

SportTimes understands Goodwillie, despite the prospect of earning £20,000-a-week at the English Premier League outfit, is still keen on a move to the SPL champions.

Gers were this morning still locked in talks with United chairman Stephen Thompson, but they have been told they must match the £2.8million offer tabled by Blackburn for the 22-year-old.

United have accepted an initial offer of £2m up front with a further £800,000 in add-ons, and that is a figure Rangers had failed to match despite submitting two additional bids yesterday.

It has now reached the stage though where they are in serious danger of missing out on the player today if they don’t match that figure"

Not sure what Rangers are playing at but from all I've heard it sounds like he is more keen to come down to the Premiership. Also, Rangers are not likely to do betetr than our bid and even if they matched it i think that in my own personal opinion it makes more sense for them to reject it because why would they want to sell to a rival club. I know there is a big gap between Rangers / Celtic and the rest of the SPL but even so it really sounds like they'd rather Goodwillie left the SPL than sell to Rangers.
