Lets look back to the Trust record?

17.5 million for Santa cruz - 6 million spent on Kalinic - 11.5 million gone missing?

Damien Duff - 17 million - where did that go?

David Dunn?- 5.5 million - must of spent that on new planes.

How can you saying anything about Venkys not investing? When was the last time the Trust invested. Its exsactly the same, infact you have proven my point, because its Venkys there is mass outrage that we havnt signed anyone yet, and they are not investing enough money. When the (Please don't use that word again) did the Trust ever invest?

FFS.

I'm off to smoke something illegal.

Kean is well out of order not wanting to sign a player with lots of off field troubles without wanting to meet him first -_-

How do we know for sure he's the one who picked the target?

In any case, are we going to put at least one bid in for him, get him down to Blackburn, have his medical and wait until Kean strolls off the 'plane when he might say: "Oh dear, don't like the look of this chap, send him back."

Nonsense. But then, this is the same people who brought you the masterstroke of allowing a player to agree terms and have a medical before thinking they should ask for more money.

To be honest, the best thing to do is to wait and see. It's difficult to unpick the tabloid speculation from what has actually gone on, but it does sound an almighty mess already. He may yet sign for us.

I just hope that the people who are in place to do deals are learning quickly.

Especially for you callum:

The Trust invested up till around 2007 and then decided to stop as they wanted to sell the club. You've proven my point- The Trust didn't invest in the team in recent years- and neither are Venkys.

This message board went into meltdown last summer when Benjani wand MB Diouf for £0 was our incomings.

We all know that BRFC and The Trust was a loveless marriage, they promised nothing and it was only going to end in a sale.

Venky's have promised the Earth, with Keano as their mouthpiece 'big budgets', 'marquee players', of course we would'nt be buying to sell and scrambling around for cheap players just before the season anymore- but that is what is hapenning.

Comparing to the Trust is moot as things were supposed to be different...

At least they did and it worked as it will potentially net us another £4m+ in the future.

Just saying.

They have been in charge for just over a year. I gurantee we will be in a better position in 5 years than we would of ever been under the Trust.

How is that possible?

Maybe its just my newly attained higher level of consciousness but...

How can you guarantee something that is set to happen in the future, versus something that could have happened in the future.

String theory?

Cosmic man.

I also believe that Venkys will be a better option than the trust because under the trust we wouldn't have seen a single penny, with venkys we might get 10million a year investment. But saying that I dont think they are the best owners for the club either.

A very important word you've slipped in there.

I'd like to see a single penny of Venkys money. I'm starting to think the free pie and pint at the Wolves match were paid for by an overdraft.

Might have gone over a few heads that!

Well it was a bit obscure but he's wrong as Rovers fans on many other sites are venting spleen - not just here.

I think the "happy people" are in the minority. Infact if you look at how many people -1 this post, that'll give you a rough estimate.

I have this vision of the guy turning up at Brockhall to be met by the caretaker with a broom in 1 hand and a clipboard in the other. "This way for your medical son". Cut to the medical room where the same bloke comes in after changing into a white coat. Rovers are being run like a comedy sketch show script, it's a joke, we are becoming the Dick Emery Show of football. Unless they get some management in we aren't going to be able to sign people.

Just thank God we managed to get Myles Anderson through somehow.

Haha, like Peter Butterworth in Carry on Abroad.

I think it makes perfect sense for Kean to meet Goodwillie before signing him-few clicks on Google and the trouble he has gotten himself into-house arrest by his current manager, should enforce that.

If he signs, good if not then we move on.
