We all know that if we make this signing and it goes through, those who are moaning will then moan he's not good enough.

I've no idea if the guy is good enough, all I know is that the above sentence will apply.

For sure. But I just choose to ignore the idiots. I really want this transfer to go through, I think he will be a great signing for us, and he is vastly under-rated. IMO, he could be the best buy we make all season, even if we do bring in 3-4 more players.

Aint Rangers on the verge of selling madjid bougera(sp)though?

Surley if they sell him they'll have the money for Goodwillie!

The transfer is not expected to be complete until tomorrow, by which point Goodie will be at Rovers having his medical!

I thought they had to sell to pay off debts?

Lekhwiya have already had one bid rejected for the 28-year-old Algerian defender, but now they appear to be closing on a £3million deal.

Bougherra will play for Rangers in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifier against Malmo on Wednesday, after which he is expected in the Gulf to complete his move.

Even better! There's no way they can afford him without selling, so if they don't do so until Wednesday, they simply won't have the money to bid for Goodwillie.

Let's hope Kean is currently on a flight from India.

If we are in pole position then we need to not be overtaken on the last corner because of complacency.

Everything else - to date - that Kean has/n't done can be excused in some way down to naivety or inexperience, or even the confusion of too many cooks.

If he was to let go one of his own targets (allegedly) through sheer arrogance, that would be unforgivable.

I do not know as of yet if Rangers have had a bid accepted/rejected...i don't even know if they have made a fresh bid again.

So his news was....there is no more news

As I have maintained all along. The speculation is just that, but we will get our man!

I hope you're right, he may not be the best player in the world but at least it's a new player! I'm sick of hearing that we've nearly signed him then to have it changed to the week later

Hi all, don’t really post on her as I’m not an “ insider” or “in-the-know” I’m just your average season ticket holder who loves going down to Ewood to watch the Rovers on a Saturday afternoon. Could someone “in-the-know” please tell me what is going on at our club, why are our transfers such complex affairs - it’s giving me a headache just reading about them. For what it’s worth my gut feeling on the Goodwille saga is that he’ll sign for Rangers, I think we’re being taken for a ride on this one; the lad should be walking over hot coals to play for an established Premier League club but oh no I reckon he’ll bottle it and play in a 3rd rate league banging in 20 goals per season and being a big time Charlie in Glasgow. I have a feeling it’s Goodwillie and his advisors wanting to meet Kean and stalling the deal until Rangers have a bid accepted. If the medical is due tomorrow then why is he back in Scotland, surely he would have opted to stay in a hotel overnight.

Actually, a very good theory.

Why would he bother coming down today if he didn't want to sign? We messed him about by not having our manager in the country to talk to him.

To buy Rangers more time? It's a strange one though.

I agree Kean being here should have made this much more open and shut. But if he is stalling there may well have been another excuse.
