briansol Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Again, him coming down here twice in two days contradicts that we have been "pushing him in through the door." Yes you're right, I was referring to posters who thinks the main point is getting him signed up before Rangers are getting an accepted bid, rather than convincing the player to come here. (which admittedly could've been handled better than getting him down 2 times).
Pitty Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 CryerRovers Andrew Cryer If Rangers lose to Malmo tmrw night they wdn't be able to afford him any way. I think that is what they are waiting for Come on Malmo Why the fu#k should we have to rely on a rangers result to sign a player, how far have we sunk.
roversfanben Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Why the fu#k should we have to rely on a rangers result to sign a player, how for have we sunk. We don't, lol. Christ, our fans buy into every comment made by every member of the press.
BuckyRover Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Why the fu#k should we have to rely on a rangers result to sign a player, how far have we sunk. There are quite a few people in Scotland who would give their right arm to play for Rangers. I don't think Blackburn has the same effect (not to say I don't think it would be better for him here).
dr_awol Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 We don't, lol. Christ, our fans buy into every comment made by every member of the press. is your source goodie himself
Miker Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 If we are taking this long signing players(players having to make at least 3 trips to meet officials) then we may as well give up on the january window now. ITS TAKEN LESS THAN A WEEK
Teacup Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 We don't, lol. Christ, our fans buy into every comment made by every member of the press. This thread reminds me of this picture. Can we try to relax and wait for some official comment, rather than believe twitter spam?
BRFC_Pilkz Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 STV understands David Goodwillie has passed his medical at Blackburn but no deal signed yet
Kelbo Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 We don't, lol. Christ, our fans buy into every comment made by every member of the press. I think I will have to side with Ben on this one, his info regarding this has been strong and correct to date, even the timing of the medical!! So, I believe he has indeed signed a four year deal and look forward to the announcement tomorrow when he arrives back at Brockhall with his bags and boots ready packed!!
Kamy100 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Chillax guys, all indications are that Rovers will sign him, although Rangers must be surely think they have a chance that is why they are continuing this ridiculous incremental bidding. If player is using Rovers to get Rangers move then nothing we can do about that.
booth Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I believe Ben too, I think we've signed him. Four year deal, and Ben said it would be announced at around 4pm-ish. Not quite there yet.
heysham rover Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Its at times like this i wish twitter and the various other 'instant' news sources didnt exist, it seems we now take every little comment in the media as gospel.
gary1989 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 STVkeithKeith Downie Goodwillie's medical passed, but no deal signed yet. Hmmm...
philipl Posted August 2, 2011 Author Posted August 2, 2011 Ben saying announcement tomorrow now. Don't care what he does in the next 24 hours (provided it is safe legal and nowhere near Ibrox) if we have got the signature.
Mark Atkins' Bald Patch Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 As awol mentioned ... we are victims of too much information. I remember when a signing was imminent you would look up teletext every 10 mins to see if had been announced. Or tune into the radio for the half hourly sports update. All this messing about most likely went on then too but the average fan heard none of it, nowadays there's a hundred 'sources' with conflicting, mostly unfounded information. The truth will come out eventually, until then patience and salt are required in abundance. Personally, I'm going with Ben's information as he seems to stick to a line of thinking rather than reacting to every twit tweet. Also becasue I want this signing to happen and he's saying it will! Contrary to a lot of posters I think that with Petrovic + Goodwillie + Vierinha + 1 more good centre forward, I think we could have a decent season. Ever the optimist... Come on Rovers
keaney23 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 We don't, lol. Christ, our fans buy into every comment made by every member of the press. For simple clarification Ben it would be good to see these pictures of Goodwillie at Rovers
yeti-dog Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Its at times like this i wish twitter and the various other 'instant' news sources didnt exist, it seems we now take every little comment in the media as gospel. Couldn't agree more...just feeds the drama queens more( and god knows,we've got enough of them on this site). I tend to ignore any twitter feeds which are posted on here. At present the true ITK's seem to be ben and glenn..I just keep an eye out for their updates it stops me getting my knickers in a twist-a few others on here should try it.
dubdubdub Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Why do people constantly just choose to accept the information that suits their agenda? For those who hate Venkys...the player's gone, we're buggered and relegated. For those who have some respect left...it's all just bull and he could've signed. He could be on his way to KFC or for a deep fried burger for all we know.
BradlaayBRFC Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Kean: sign there please david. Goodwillie: No problem boss. Kean: now go back home, pack your bags and we'll see you at training tomorrow. Goodwillie: *kisses kean's shiny head* Bye. Just what I'm hoping happened this afternoon!
heysham rover Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I think he has probably gone to Deepdale or the Reebok for a Nandos
jim mk2 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Who needs the electronic age (says he posting on the internet) ? This nonsense makes you long for the days when the first you knew of Rovers news was the Lancashire Evening Telegraph dropping through your letterbox at about 5pm.
