chris
He could get slated. They are going to have to carefully screen fans.
Alan75
Good luck to him. He's a very articulate bloke, it should be interesting listening to him.
92er
To be honest, I'm not that surprised as I thought he did a good job last season summarising some games on Radio 5.
Ozz
I'm gonna ring him up and ask him if all the Bermuda team have to wear Bermuda shorts?
Exiled in Toronto
I'm liking Jason more and more. Very decent man, good head on his shoulders, seems very supportive of his team mates. Every team should have one, despite the dodgyness when through one on one. A nice antidote to the amoral lowlifes I apparently should love being on my team
Mattyblue
Fair play to the bloke, just shows if you are articulate, you are a shoe in for the media- look at Clark Carlisle- can turn his hand to owt (apart from defending)
Mc Love
Nice guy - completely out of his depth in the EPL
philipl
Just out of interest, is he going to host 606 from a radio mike in late kick off games?
Speedie Dived
Just out of interest, is he going to host 606 from a radio mike in late kick off games? For the first time in the history of 606 they are going to mike him up during late kick offs, he will be answering calls and hitting the back of the net* * Guarantee's of net's bulging are not guaranteed, unless it's at the Stadium of Light, oh hang on
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad
At the end of the day the guy has an MBE for his charity work. If some Rovers fans ring up to slate him because his finishing isn't great then it says a lot about them as people.

Thats a down right ridiculous statement to make, he should get as much stick as Andrews regardless of what he does off the pitch! He could be Gandhi for all I care, he still wouldnt be a good player, and fans are right to criticise him if he isnt doing a good job, particularly scoring goals! m1st
Seriously though; what do recdent events tell us about the line-up for next season? Should we presume that JR & Goodwillie will be the front men in a 4-4-2 line-up? Or is Goodwillie intended to be one of a number of players "playing off" JR in a 4-5-1 or 4-3-2-1? Are we getting closer to having some idea what our first choice starting 11 will be?
Exiled_Rover
Fair play to the bloke, just shows if you are articulate, you are a shoe in for the media- look at Clark Carlisle- can turn his hand to owt (apart from defending) It just shows you that in this day and age media companies would rather employ retired sports stars than trained journalists/broadcasters, which is why so many of us are scratching around for work. He's rubbish at it btw.
Ozz
Oz, he plays for Greneda. Does he? Well blow me. That could explain a couple of things to be honest.

He could be Gandhi for all I care, he still wouldnt be a good player, and fans are right to criticise him if he isnt doing a good job, particularly scoring goals! I wasn't suggesting people shouldn't criticise him, nothing wrong with that in the right environment (like on here for example). I was suggesting you'd have to be a a bit of a prat to ring up a radio station to specifically insult one of the presenters when that would obviously never be the topic they were asking for discussion on. Not to mention the embarassment to Rovers as a set of fans that some would actually abuse their own players on air given the first opportunity. So fans have a right to throw vitriol in the direction of someone who seems to be a good sort of human being because he doesn't come up to their standards? He is a decent bloke, a decent player who doesn't score enough. So go ahead hurl abuse at him if that what gets you off,

Mc Love
Alright Adolf. At the end of the day he still gets paid whether he scores or not, so there isnt much determination to push on and actually score. Someone has to give him a good kick up the arsehole!
