[Archived] Four Four Two Season Preview

To be honest, they are probably not far off.

We still have not signed anyone offically, so they can't predict much else, our ony strker is Roberts at 34.

We need good signings still and enough players to cover injuries.

Unless Kean is right and Formica and Rochina have their break out PL year I think last place or bottom three is a realistic prediction. Let's hope some of these transfer rumours come to be real moves and this never happens -- it does seem like things are starting to look up with the transfers, perhaps Venky's have paid off their Visa bill and are ready to spend again. Goodwillie + Valdez + Petrovic = Goals?

Just picked up this months edition and it will be my last, predicting us to finish dead last!!

There's still another month until the transfer window closes, how can they make predictions on the league table so early?, idiots. Still, anything to have a pop at little old Rovers ey...

'Blackburn could be the season's surprise package'. Prediction: 19th

Usual flip flopping from the Guardian, I see.

Are we really so desperate that we have to take quotes out of context to have a go?

"On the other hand, if they reinforce before the transfer window closes or if they are spared ruinous injuries, Blackburn could be the season's surprise package: there is the skeleton of a good team there."

Just picked up this months edition and it will be my last, predicting us to finish dead last!!

They are all predicting a poor season in the offing. All papers etc.

With zero players in, and the loss of Jones & Jones, Diouf gone, and a manager who has a Prem managerial record not too far from that of Paul Ince, what were you expecting?

That really should be telling us something.

However, we could bury our heads in the sand instead, if that helps?

442 had Stoke to go down last season.

Instead, they were FA Cup runners up and a finished 13th

OK, so they got that one wrong.

Who else did they have to go down? I bet they got Blackpool spot on. Everyone had them to go down, just like now with us, and they did. They spent little and, ultimately, got punished for it despite a great effort.

Stoke made some good signings and had a good season.

Which route will we decide to take?

Where do you begin with the inaccuracies in that report? Formica is yet to join Rovers, JJ played centre half, etc etc.

There are at least 5 teams weaker than us, the there promoted teams, Villa and Wigan and we are yet to invest, I have faith in our team.
