PLEASE PHILIP??? ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHATSO EVER FOR THIS POST!

IF ITS ANY THRUTH IN IT HOLD IT TO YOURSELF INSTEAD OF SPREADING NEGATIVITY

It's the negativity thread, you moron.

There you go, I've changed it for you :D

Lordy I wish we were in as good a position as Bolton...

If only it was wishful thinking, as I've said people should learn to read between the lines. God knows there has been enough hints on here about what else has been going on behind the scenes. But hey ho if it's not in the paper it can't be true can, perhaps the houses of commons can help???????

I am sticking to my guns that the really bad stuff hasn't come out yet.

And for all kinds of legal reasons it won't be on this web site first.

I don't think there's any laws about telling the truth yet is there.

Oh...wait a minute...........I just thought of some.

Majiball your post disappeared?? - but here's my reply anyhow

"so by extension - if it is in the paper then it must be true??????? WTF??!!

Guy Fawkes had the right idea about the house of commons...

look very, very carefully at my post, look between the lines - it's just blank - there's nothing there to read..."

maybe reading between the lines is a skill like looking at Magic Eye pictures...

...you just stare and stare until you see the statute of liberty tending a herd of unicorns by the great pyramid of giza

How about the Miserablists take themselves to the "kean is a doughnut" and "Venkys are Chicken Dippers" threads and chunter amongst each other there? Those of us who don't want to read their chuntering and find the ignore function ineffective can steer well clear.

The football and transfer related threads can be made no go areas for the Rentamob and Rovers Fans alike.

That way the likes of me wont be tempted to ruin somebody's day by being snide on a football messageboard.

Reasons to be negative?

Look no further than the fact that we still have a lying, drunk-driving, inexperienced and holder of the worst Rovers run in my lifetime excuse for a manager at the club and nobody in a position that matters seems to have realised that this = bad times for the club :(

Kidd (PL) - Games 22 Points 26

Kean - Games 21 Points 22

Ince - Games 17 Points 13

Hodgson (2nd season) - Games 15 Points 9

Harford (2nd season) - Games 11 Points 4

So technically Kidd ranks above him but he did spend £20m during that 22-game period.

Kean holds the record for the worst run in our modern history, no sane chairman/woman wouldn't have sacked him during that. SO you can put him top all you want but previous same chairman/woman canned those above before the reached Keans esteemed place in our history.

The one thing in his favour Maji is that Kean got us out of that mess (that he created) and the team were clearly playing for him.

In hindsight a decision that was the correct one by Venky's- not to sack Kean (even though it was the wrong one to hire him in the first place)

Good research there SKH.

My only comment really, would be to judge them like for like. i.e. Keans total tenure so far, against the others total tenure. Not fair really to take the worst spells of the others, while taking Keans whole spell.

Don't know how that would work out.

Thanks, can tell its a slow day at work (and I'm a lazy git! :)). Kidd was even worse in the Championship (50 points from 44 games for us overall) so suppose I should have included that. Took the bad seasons for Hodgson/Harford because Andy said "worst run", they'd both be significantly better than the other 3 if you took overall. But as Majiball correctly pointed out Kean did have a run in amongst those 21 games that was worse than any of them. In terms of sacking him or not I think Venkys did the right thing. Its easier to sack someone in November/December (a la Harford, Hodgson and Ince) but Jack Walker stuck with Kidd to the end despite increasingly worse results from a good start. He did it presumably because he thought it'd be suicide to bring a new man in with no time to work with, same reason I assume Venkys kept hold of Kean. And to be fair to Venkys it worked, who knows maybe he'll surprise us all this season. Could certainly do with signing a few more/better players first though.

IMO that if venkys had sacked Kean when people on here wanted them to, we'd have gone down without a doubt.

Can't be proven I know, buy Venkys made the right decision, the players wanted to play for the manager and that saved us.
