Thank you mum, after 70 or so posts, someone actually got it.

It was a bit of a lend of the doom and gloomers.

I must admit, I do have some apprehension about the immediate future, but live in hope that things will turn out well.

Loving this thread, get all the complaints on here, silly and not alike. I'm still left with a bad taste in my mouth for all the horrible PR. Venkys seem to have no clue how to do anything the right way (right = the way we're accustomed to/ prefer) It's not always what you do but how you do it. Get it together!

By the way, in relation to Venkys, I would not underestimate the influence of Kentaro from even before the club was bought. Feeding poor advice which has led to some of these baffling decisions/comments from the owners.

I think you can only make a judgement of what has happened so far this summer, and not what you want to happen or what you think's going to happen.

And the only conclusion can be that at best, the owners have been incredibly naive, at worst a disaster. A change halfway through the window in transfer policy, behind the scenes arguments over the manager (court case could be interesting this week) and zero communication with the fans when in this country.

And to top it all off it's looking highly unlikely that the Jones/Kalinic money will be re-invested, let alone Venkys spending their own cash.

Tom Finn did state that the owners wanted to communicate more with the fans over the summer.

There has been a slight change in their approach however some of the measures put in place over the summer are short term gaps for now - they have a financial adviser, Tom Brown (I think) who is assisting them too but are possibly on the look out for someone long term.

I know you are holding onto the positive approach Imy9, waiting to see what Venkys do at the end of the window and fair play to you for your opinions, no problems with it.

There is def a pattern now of good vibes when Venkys are in the country, good news stories coming out and then bad news when they are in India. If Wolves turn us over on the first day of the season i think there will be a naughty atmosphere in the air.

If you are right on the Jones money idea, then that would be the final straw for many. That is unacceptable.

After reading a bit more from Nicko it seems the controversial element was the fact it was a secret. He seems to think it will be interesting in many ways, so sounds better than originally thought. With the way this summer has gone it could be a million and one things.
