You get out of life, what you are prepared to put into it. There is always a way of making an honest buck, with or without help from government. A roof over our heads, clothes on our back and food in our bellies is the basic needs that we all need and a job to pay for those things.

Everything else, TV's etc, is luxury, not an entitlement. When we learn to be content with those basics, everything else becomes a bonus and more apprieciated, when we are able to get them.

This has absolutely nothing to do with politics, this is pure subhuman scum taking a free ride on the back of some guy shot dead (who was armed with a live weapon) in Tottenham.

But lets all forget that and blame Thatcher. I grew up under her leadership of the country and am doing quite nicely for myself. And there was definitely no silver spoon in my mouth.

I used to rake in skips when I was young, looking for copper, brass, and bottles to turn in for money. It is pretty obvious the people who caused the trouble in Manchester last night prime motive was to loot. Walking down Oxford Road this morning all the shops are intact apart from Maplin which has been smashed in an looted due to it having high value electronic equipment.

This seems to have been fairly well organised and targeted rioting.

This is nothing to do with politics, it's nothing to do with poverty,it's nothing to do with the death of a man and the subsequent protest about that.

It's about opportunists taking advantage of a situation.

They are criminals and should be treated as such. If the parents of those that are under 18 don't mind that their offspring are out and about, then if they get arrested for an offence, shouldn't complain about them being treated like adults. I'm sure, a lot of these kids "sold" their ill gotten gains for a pittance to the real crims, who of course, will never be identified, unless some kid grows a pair.

The big problem facing the UK at the moment is, what to do with those found guilty. It has to be something significant, something that says to these "miscreants" do anything wrong and you will lose something significant in your life for some time.
