1) Not convinced. Had written him off last season, but he won me back slightly with the end of season return to form. He's now on his second last chance with me.

2) Hard to say. Not greatly impressed last year and the squad doesn't seem too different.

3) Solid manager, but my god his voice is boring!

4) No idea. We are missing two key players from the side that went 3-0 up at halt time on the last day, but the two new lads are unknown quantities for me so who knows.

5) Depends who else we bring in and what Keen does with that last chance I've just given him.

6) Hoillet, who you should have noticed on the last day... Couple of other young players who were not involved much last year but have shown promise in pre-season; Formica and Rochina.

7) Suppose Fletcher. Always liked Hunt, he's like a wing version of Robbie Savage.

8) Far more bad than good so far. Things seem to have been improving recently, so we shall see.

9) 2-1 Rovers

Thoughts on your manager? A BALD HEADED NUMPTY

- What do you make of Wolves as a team? NOT BAD, BROUGHT IN A FEW NEW GOOD PLAYERS

- What do you think of Mick McCarthy? LIKE HIS UPFRONT STYLE, NOT AFRAID TO SPEAK HIS MIND

- Expectations for the game? ROVERS TO BE TOOTHLESS IN FRONT OF GOAL AGAIN, A DRAW WOULD DO ME RIGHT NOW

- Expectations for the season for your lot? 17TH WOULD DO ME RIGHT NOW, NOT EXPECTING A GOOD SEASON, NOT JUST ME WHO FEELS LIKE THAT TOO

- How do you think Wolves will do over the season? PROBABLY SAME AS ROVERS, RELEGATION FIGHT

- Who should we be looking out for? CANT REALLY SAY RIGHT NOW, IF HOILETT IS FIT, THEN HIM

- Who do you fear from the Wolves squad? KEVIN DOYLE

- From an outside perspective things don't look good with your new owners, what is your opinion. THEY HAVE YET TO DELIVER THEIR PROMISES

- Prediction 1-1

Hi All,

I help to run a Wolves Forum (www.wolvesforum.co.uk) and wondered whether you can answer a few questions, prior to saturday's game?

- Thoughts on your manager? - Inexperienced, unqualified and initially awful. But showing signs of improvement, deserves a chance to prove himself after good performances/results in our last 4 games.

- What do you make of Wolves as a team? - Pretty standard bottom half newcomers, strong at home, poor away. You didn't really seem to turn up in our games last season

- What do you think of Mick McCarthy? - Decent enough manager although not sure he's spent wisely since you came up

- Expectations for the game? - Rovers win, could be tight though

- Expectations for the season for your lot? - Bottom half, maybe a shot at mid-table depending on buying a few more players/how Kean does

- How do you think Wolves will do over the season? - Relegation battle throughout I'm afraid

- Who should we be looking out for? - Junior Hoilett, although you probably know that already!

- Who do you fear from the Wolves squad? - Our midfield always seems easily over-run so O'Hara could cause problems

- From an outside perspective things don't look good with your new owners, what is your opinion. - Sceptical over where the Jones money will end up going, but things couldn't carry on as they were under the Trust

- Prediction - 2-1 Rovers

- Thoughts on your manager?

Awful

- Wolves as a team?

Spent a lot of money last year on below PL standard players but expect your signings this summer to do well. Could be reasonably comfortable if you keep your players fitter than you normally do.

- What do you think of Mick McCarthy?

Agricultural but better than Kean

- Expectations for the game?

Very worried from a Rovers standpoint

- Expectations for the season for your lot?

Need to get very very lucky or we are going down

- How do you think Wolves will do over the season?

Survival by a three more points than last season.

- Who should we be looking out for?

Hoilett if he is fit

- Who do you fear from the Wolves squad?

Nobody but a tough unit. O'Hara might be handy

- From an outside perspective things don't look good with your new owners, what is your opinion.

Calamity chickens but after eight months of idiocy, probably have reached the point of knowing as much now about the PL as they should have known last October

- Prediction

Match to be postponed (I hope)

IF possible - we should keep games on, even if it means we only have stewards & small number of police.

The muppets tend to riot & loot at night, not a 3pm in the afternoon.

Prediction for the game - 2-0 Rovers

Prediction for the season - Rovers - undecided yet - Wolves - bottom 6

One to Watch - Hoilett

Wolves one to Watch - Fletcher

Our manager - time to prove himself

Your manager - boring, but honest. You will never really progress with him in charge though I feel.

- Thoughts on your manager? Coach** Don't believe he has it in him to be a manager, but we'll see.. Bad start, has to go

- What do you make of Wolves as a team? After going to the 'staying up party'at molineux last season I like Wolves! Great never give up spirit!

- What do you think of Mick McCarthy? Straight talking man, done a very good job. His accent aggrivates me

- Expectations for the game? I'm missing the first game of the season because i'm down south <_< Three points for us any way will do

- Expectations for the season for your lot? Survival is the only thing that matters, that may be a big ask.

- How do you think Wolves will do over the season? Battle bravely as you always do, 16th

- Who should we be looking out for? Roberts

- Who do you fear from the Wolves squad? Jarvis, O'Hara, Doyle

- From an outside perspective things don't look good with your new owners, what is your opinion. Didn't understand Premier League football when they arrived, still don't! Good chance they're out of their depth

- Prediction 1-1

Hi All,

I help to run a Wolves Forum (www.wolvesforum.co.uk) and wondered whether you can answer a few questions, prior to saturday's game?

- Thoughts on your manager? Reminds me of a team that gets two quick promotions and finds themselves out of their depth. Has to learn on the job, in public. In short, Paul Ince MkII

- What do you make of Wolves as a team? Good backbone on paper, tend to get over-run at times. Going in the right direction though.

- What do you think of Mick McCarthy? Honest Yorkshireman – gives good quotes (unlike Steve 'pleased with the effort' Kean). Knows what he's doing

- Expectations for the game? More entertaining than others might expect, both teams will go for it – Wolves after the last meeting, Rovers because they have to

- Expectations for the season for your lot? Struggle, but either Kean gets it together and we do well, or he goes and we get someone else

- How do you think Wolves will do over the season? Same, but I think both clubs will be alright in the end

- Who should we be looking out for? Hoilett, Rochina and if he plays, Petrovic

- Who do you fear from the Wolves squad? Kevin Doyle if fit, Matt Jarvis

- From an outside perspective things don't look good with your new owners, what is your opinion. Desperation. People used to say we bought the league. Then that we were thugs and bully boys – I never minded either – but now we're laughing stocks. A proud tradition now owned by poultry farmers. People in the North like people who are as good as their word (one reason why McCarthy is - I assume - popular with Wolves fans). The Venkys Overlords may have the right desire for BRFC, but it's time for them to stop making bizarre proclamations and show some stability, cash, intelligence

- Prediction 2-2

Best of luck for the season

Not rated... players are the ones who got us out of the mess Kean & co got us into... looking forward to him being sacked.

No opinion

Straight talking Bert lookalike... seems a decent bloke.

Nervous start... hope for the best expect the worse

It doesn't look good because of the people in charge.

Hope it's worse than us as that's all that has kept us up lately... teams below being poorer.

Hopefully goodwillie will start and be able to give you something different. Rochina off the bench.

No opinion

They don't look or feel much better being a fan

away win

- Thoughts on your manager? Kean's not good enough.

- What do you make of Wolves as a team? Fighters.

- What do you think of Mick McCarthy? I'll trade you Kean for McCarthy.

- Expectations for the game? Heart says Rovers win, head says Kean screws the pooch.

- Expectations for the season for your lot? With the current manager and squad, relegation contenders. If we replace and improve on our manager, or sign a top drawer striker and another solid defender, top half.

- How do you think Wolves will do over the season? Also relegation contenders, but most likely to survive the drop.

- Who should we be looking out for? As a scorer? You should have no worries, unless Goodwillie is quick off the starting block.

- Who do you fear from the Wolves squad? Doyle. Fletcher.

- From an outside perspective things don't look good with your new owners, what is your opinion. I think they are loaded and well intentioned, but are too arrogant to admit they made a mistake with John Williams and Sam Allardyce (and hiring Kean) and don't [yet] understand the football world enough to be effective at transfers and club management. I hope they learn quickly.

- Prediction. I'm going with my heart on this one, Rovers 2-1. If it is any consolation, I rarely get this part right.

1.Doubt Steve Keane is making any decisions .He is just a voice of agreement saying what the owners wish to hear.

2.Feel Wolves are one of those teams Roverse should finish higher than ensuring our safety.Last year promoted teams did well and scared us all..Dont think this will happen this season

3 McCarthy..Good up to Championship level/Like Rovers Wolves unlikely to attract someone better.like a Dagleish class manager cos the money aint there to spend big.

4.Draw cos we are rusty

5 After Wolves a run of tough games so we could be slow off the mark. .Chelsea last game of season instead of Wolves dont look good. The three that come up to go down hopefully. Both of us to be safe.Depends if any of our new signings turn out to be gems..Under Chairman Willams stewardship we were Veterans of Premiership survival. but now hes gone

6.Wolves performance like us depends of how well newbies ( both our new players and promoted teams)do..

7.Our Brett if on form is a dark horse

8.Dont know the wolves squad

9 1 - 1 result

Hi All,

I help to run a Wolves Forum (www.wolvesforum.co.uk) and wondered whether you can answer a few questions, prior to saturday's game?

- Thoughts on your manager? He has been on a hiding to nothing from the moment he took the job on. He could have done with someone experienced to guide him, but to be fair the team spirit got better and better as last season wore on and the players seem to play for him. He needs a good start though or he'll be out.

- What do you make of Wolves as a team? Rely too much on certain players and don't always travel well.

- What do you think of Mick McCarthy? For a Yorkshireman, quite likeable. You'll go nowhere under him though.

- Expectations for the game? I think it will be quite a good game to watch, we look like we'll score a few and let loads in too, particularly if Samba is missing.

- Expectations for the season for your lot? First ten games are crucial. If we do ok in them we'll be mid table, if not we'll be in trouble!

- How do you think Wolves will do over the season? Just below us probably

- Who should we be looking out for? As most people have said, Junior Hoillett (if fit)

- Who do you fear from the Wolves squad? O'Hara always seems to do something against us, whoever he's played for.

- From an outside perspective things don't look good with your new owners, what is your opinion. Like Kean, they were always on a bit of a hiding to nothing. Comedic decisions and statements haven't helped their cause, but they do tend to get blamed for everything. I get the sense that a good start will calm everyone down though. Apart from a sizeable minority of racists who won't ever accept asians owning the club. Sad but true.

- Prediction Blackburn Rovers 3 Wolves 2

Hi All,

I help to run a Wolves Forum (www.wolvesforum.co.uk) and wondered whether you can answer a few questions, prior to saturday's game?

- Thoughts on your manager?

As a glass-half-full Rovers' fan, I hope he's been able to use the close season to get together a squad of players who can consistently play as we did for the first 45 minutes at Molyneux last May. As they say in Scotland, though; I hae me doots!

- What do you make of Wolves as a team?

I think you've made 2 good signings in O'Hara, who impressed me last season, & Johnson. Hopefully [i've 2 friends who are Wolves' fans living in the north west, so I've a bit of a soft spot for Wolves, despite 1960 - I also bear grudges! :D ], you'll not have the last-day worries you had last season.

- What do you think of Mick McCarthy?

Well, he's a bit of a character, isn't he? I'm not sure how tactically alert he is; but I always enjoy hearing his honesty in post-match interviews.

- Expectations for the game?

You've never picked up a Premier League point at Ewood so let's hope that continues!

Hopefully the new blood we've recruited in January and in the close season will have the same effect as Brett Emerton had in the first game of the 2003/04 season. You remember; the 5-1 game? Yes; I thought so! :D

- Expectations for the season for your lot?

We'll have a better idea at 5.00 on Saturday! My hope is that we finish the season mid-table on our way to the "European" places which the Venky's people are looking for.

- How do you think Wolves will do over the season?

As noted above, I hope you don't have the last day, last 11 minutes, worries you had last season. Your last three games don't look too difficult so maybe you'll go into the game at Wigan with no worries.

- Who should we be looking out for?

It depends who the manager puts out. Most of us, apart from the die-hards who went to the pre-season friendly in Scotland last weekend, will get our first look at David Goodwillie, who may well become our new cult hero. Also there's Formica and Rochina, acquisitions in the January transfer window, who'll both be expected to make their mark this season.

- Who do you fear from the Wolves squad?

Not being rude; but nobody, really. As I said, I thought O'Hara had a useful game for you last May; but I wouldn't have said I "feared" him.

- From an outside perspective things don't look good with your new owners, what is your opinion.

I think they've bitten off much more than they thought they had when they bought us.

They have a lot to learn about managing expectations and realise that: a] something which they may think is a throwaway line in Pune can be reported here and not have the intended consequence; and b] while they have not been as parsimonious as our previous owners, they've raised expectations that haven't yet been fulfilled about new players coming to the club.

Also, if you decide you have to replace Sam Allardyce, I'm not sure it was a good idea to do so: a] more or less immediately; and b] with a someone who's never previously been higher than Assistant Manager at a League club.

- Prediction

Us to win again [well; we're playing Wolves at home in the Premier League, aren't we?! :D ]; but I wouldn't like to predict by how many.

- Thoughts on your manager? Deluded, I don't think he's as useless as some are making out though, we'll see.

- What do you make of Wolves as a team? Slightly improved on last season, good signing in Johnson.

- What do you think of Mick McCarthy? Great character. (personality, not as in that eagle character from the muppets)

- Expectations for the game? It's a game we should be winning with no disrespect.

- Expectations for the season for your lot? Anywhere between 12th and 17th.

- How do you think Wolves will do over the season? As above, I think we'll both survive thanks to the crap that's surfaced from the Championship, I fear for Wigan this season.

- Who should we be looking out for? Junior Hoilett and maybe Mauro Formica, he looked a bit tasty from what I saw in pre-season.

- Who do you fear from the Wolves squad? I'll leave that to the more observant amongst us. (is it lazy to just say Doyle?)

- From an outside perspective things don't look good with your new owners, what is your opinion. I'm still reserving judgement, let's see who else we sign first.

- Prediction 2-0 Rovers

1) Inexperienced and appears to be a poodle. Prepared to give him a chance if he gets some proper support from the club.

2) Decent strong team who are good at home. Expect them to do OK this season.

3) Respect him. Good manager and a good laugh in interviews. Must hate all the fuss aroeund the game nowadays, real old school manager.

4) Think it will be quite low key, we will struggle later on as not well prepared.

5) Bottom 5. 3 promoted teams look weak and may save us. Also expect Newcastle to struggle.

6) About 12th.

7) Hoillet - he is our only player going forward with genuine class. Remember his goal in May.

8) That Burnley reject up front, he'll probably score to spite us. Not a team of great individuals though.

9) Difficult to say if they are cynical asset stripers or very niaive.

10) 1-1.

By the way, I heard quite a few reports of the scumminess and unfriendliness of your fans at the end of last season. You will be warmly welcomed to Blackburn, like all away fans, you can be sure of that.

Hi All,

I help to run a Wolves Forum (www.wolvesforum.co.uk) and wondered whether you can answer a few questions, prior to saturday's game?

- Thoughts on your manager?

Out of his depth. I haven't seen any evidence he actually did Big Sam and Neil over so I don't have hatred for the man, but he doesn't fill me with confidence. That said, Rovers were pretty well organised towards the end of last season against Man U, Arsenal and Man city in particular, which lifted my spirits. Some of the things he says to the media make me cringe, and it doesn't help on the confidence score.

- What do you think of Mick McCarthy?

I like him. Straight talking, experienced, realistic; I would love a bit of that right about now.

- Expectations for the game?

I am hoping we edge it and get a 2-0 win, goal scorer signing permitting! But I reckon a draw might be the realistic scoreline.

- Expectations for the season for your lot?

Unless we sign a proven premier league goal scorer I expect similar to last season - we don't have enough goals in us by a long way. I'll be thrilled if we are out of the bottom three by Christmas. How depressing is that!

- How do you think Wolves will do over the season?

Similar to last year to be honest.

- Who should we be looking out for?

Hoillett.

- Who do you fear from the Wolves squad?

I don't really fear anyone specific...

- From an outside perspective things don't look good with your new owners, what is your opinion.

They have ruined our proud football club. Their announcements that they'll own us "forever" has genuinely given me nightmares. Venkys out!

- Prediction

1-1

Good luck for the season, apart from Saturday of course :P

Thank you all for your replies, some interesting answers their. I was surprised by some of the answers on 'Thoughts on your manager?' I was expecting you all to say get rid, but that wasn't the case.

By the way, I heard quite a few reports of the scumminess and unfriendliness of your fans at the end of last season. You will be warmly welcomed to Blackburn, like all away fans, you can be sure of that.

I'm sorry to hear this. We do have some undesirables as fans, if you can call them fans, but fortunately it's the small minority rather than the majority.

Hope you have a good season and thank you to the person who signed up to our forum.
