Hi All,

I help to run a Wolves Forum (www.wolvesforum.co.uk) and wondered whether you can answer a few questions, prior to saturday's game?

- Thoughts on your manager? Puppet, cant stand the bloke, clueless beyond belief!

- What do you make of Wolves as a team? Some good players some poor players got fight in them

- What do you think of Mick McCarthy? Football man, knows what hes talking about, opposite to Kean

- Expectations for the game? Looking like our defence is depleted, take a draw!

- Expectations for the season for your lot? depends on Keans position

- How do you think Wolves will do over the season? struggle but will stay up!

- Who should we be looking out for? Myles Anderson......AWESOME!

- Who do you fear from the Wolves squad? Elokobi.......He is solid!

- From an outside perspective things don't look good with your new owners, what is your opinion. They see Kean as a good manager, Clueless!

- Prediction 1-2

Please feel free to join up to our forum for pre and post chat, we encourage away fans and treat them with respect.

Thanks

I guess so, but there were a few that said that they were prepared to give him a chance, which suprised me.

Since the sacking of Allardyce there has been considerable turmoil at the club. Yet, remarkably, the players seem up for the fight and morale is sky high. What’s going on and who is responsible for this weird state of affairs? Let’s see:

Venkys – nope, they live in India.

John Williams and Tom Finn (behind the scenes maestros)– nope they’ve gone.

The media – you must be joking!

Captain Samba – no, he’s waiting for the call from Arsene.

The fans – no, but we will soon get our chance to influence things.

It can’t be the manager can it? Not the back-stabbing joker who supposedly makes a faux pas every time he opens his mouth?

Yes folks, it’s gotta be him. He is the one who has been left with the job of moulding a team whilst the new owners have been struggling to get their act together. Now this doesn’t make him a successful Premier League manager - that can only be judged out on the pitch - but we would have been in deeper doo- doo if he hadn’t been around. For this alone I think he deserves a fair crack of the whip this afternoon.

i dont want to play devil's advocate again, but kean got us into this mess, so saying if he hadnt been around we would have been in deeper do do it a bit rich, any decent manager would have carried on the good work that big sam left, meaning we wouldnt have been in doo doo in the first place.

Ah! yes. Last season wasn't great and Kean's steep learning curve nearly cost us our Premiership status. The close season has arguably been worse! The club could have fallen apart completely but we didn't and Kean can take a lot of the credit in my opinion. He has had to bear much of the burden on his own I think.

- Thoughts on your manager?

Has talked the talk but now he needs to walk the walk. There's nowhere for him to hide now he's had a full pre-season behind him. Seemed to find some consistency towards the end of last season which helped claw us out of his own mess, but we can't afford to be dragged into another relegation scrap.

- What do you make of Wolves as a team?

With respect, pretty average. Your class (or lack of) showed last season.

Roger Johnson should be a solid signing and help shore up the defence, but I'm not sure your squad is strong enough to cope for a full season.

- What do you think of Mick McCarthy?

Straight-talking bloke, always worth a listen, and an underrated manager. Feel Wolves should back him, even if they go down next year.

- Expectations for the game?

The first game of the season is often a cagey affair. So long as Rovers can keep organised at the back, we'll have enough going forward to keep Wolves on the back-foot. Could be tricky without the likes of Samba, which makes me think it'll be an end-to-end affair.

- Expectations for the season for your lot?

Depends on how much the manager has learned and if our younger players meet expectations. It's imperative we get off to a good start and build some momentum, otherwise the knives will soon be out for the manager & Venky's (if not already). If Kean flounders, and chances are he will, then Venky's need to be decisive and bring in a proven replacement post-haste.

- How do you think Wolves will do over the season?

Tricky one. With a good first-half of the season under their belts, it might be enough to save them when they inevitably slide back down the table. They might just be lucky enough to discover the three promoted sides have a weaker squad.

- Who should we be looking out for?

Hoilett. Came on leaps and bounds last season and Wolves should remember what he can do.

Formica. Another exciting young player who had a promising pre-season.

- Who do you fear from the Wolves squad?

O'Hara. He can boss the midfield on his day

Stephen Hunt. Hope he doesn't curb-stomp Robbo.

- From an outside perspective things don't look good with your new owners, what is your opinion.

They turned the club on its head with a combination of naivety and self-seeking advisers. There are signs that they are slowly making the right decisions and curbing their ambition, which was unrealistic and a point of ridicule for the club. However, they still have it all to prove and a lot of fans won't be swayed easily until they see the right decisions on the pitch.

- Prediction

2-1 Rovers.
