Backroom Tom Posted September 24, 2011 Backroom Posted September 24, 2011 Not when you consider they will rest a lot of players as well
Emge Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Pleased with Toon at home. We can def make it to the quarter finals, and who knows, with a lucky draw there as well we can reach the semis and before you know it we are holding the trophy! I think we should make this cup a priority! A shame that none of the so called top teams drew each other, though

Backroom Tom Posted September 24, 2011 Backroom Posted September 24, 2011 Hmmmm. re-emerge the heavy balls theory... I prefer the hot balls theory

roversmum Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Funny you should say that... But then I can't say I fancied them in the first place. I hope they're not going to turn out a reincarnation of Villa.
redroses Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 it'll be like a home game for them. They'll bring at least 6000.
Ben-2000 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 it'll be like a home game for them. They'll bring at least 6000. No chance... their following isn't what it once was. They'll be a good number of them don't get me wrong... but 6,000?
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Looking at our league form and position this competition is turning into an UNWANTED distraction for me personally.
ABBEY Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 it'll be like a home game for them. They'll bring at least 6000. Drunken post of the day.... Anything more than a tenner and I don't think many more will come, rovers fans that is
robbo_rovers Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Are we assuming this will be on the Wednesday night seeing as we play on the Sunday before against Spurs?
m1st Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Looking at our league form and position this competition is turning into an UNWANTED distraction for me personally. Me too. Couldn't you just see us copying Birmingham?
mark1875 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 ticket prices for the newcastle match have been doubled to £20
philipl Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I can see us winning this one and saving Kean's neck for another few weeks.
AndyNeil Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 ticket prices for the newcastle match have been doubled to £20 I'd imagine it has something to do with the fact that both clubs have to agree a price, and there are MINIMUM prices that have to be charged as you progress through the competition ..... thats not even taking into consideration rovers cashing in on the travelling support from Newcastle.
Ozz Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 You can't argue with a price of just £20 to watch a well respected top flight English Premier league side, with top players and an attractive playing style really. Plus you get to see Rovers as well.
Backroom Tom Posted September 29, 2011 Backroom Posted September 29, 2011 This is where our good pricing goes against us. People will complain because it's double the last price forgetting how good the last price was!
Mattyblue Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 More Newcastle than Rovers fans in the ground?
tomphil Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 More Newcastle than Rovers fans in the ground? About 9k home fans and 5/6 thousand geordie's i reckon. Mind you it was like that in the 80's a few times, always a good atmosephere. Not to sure about that in our end this time though
ABBEY Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 20 quid for a reserve match ? I'm defo 50/50 on this one.
