SamTheShrew Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Watching Kean on SSN now against this lineup is making me angry
roversfan1 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I read it as: Emerton salad Hanley Olsson Hoilet Nzonzi Dunn Pedersen Formica Roberts Is this not right?
Dunnfc Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Hanley is a cracking young player, but wolves have some bruts up front like Fletcher and ebanks blake... I would have put Henley in from the bench though and had a 5-4-1 will olsson and salagado as wing backs, like the big sam era.

booth Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 We are missing THREE first choice cb missing, yes we need a centre half but take that out of any club and they will struggle. Let's pray Nzonzi steps up as well as Harley, scary looking team. Four actually, one we've know about for six weeks. Inexcusable.
Hekla Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 But we didn't know that Samba and Givet would be injured for the first game, not all Kean's fault.
brian nelsen Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 This Bruno fella can't be much cop if he can't get into the weakest defence in the World. God I love this game so much.
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Even if we'd replaced P.Jones we would still have had to play an inexperienced back line. We're going to have to score 3 at least to win this one I fear. Big pressure on Formica to produce. There is no one party to blame for us not having done our business in the transfer window yet, but when people regularly have a pop at Nicko for writing a bad piece in the Mirror about our owners lack of action in the market, I can guarantee that every Rovers fan is sitting rather uncomfortably looking at that line up. Optimistically hoping for a 3-1 win. Hoilett and Formica pulling the strings.
Backroom Tom Posted August 13, 2011 Backroom Posted August 13, 2011 Bench is very lacking in experience although has a couple of exciting lads on there going forward Kean has messed up in not getting back up but it is freak circumstances to have three cb's out and any team would struggle with that
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 It's fine WWWM, we have 'active' bids on the table Shame they're not 'active' on the pitch

If Chelsea had Terry, Ivanovic and Luiz out they too would struggle to fill those centre halve spots.
Bluefudge Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Missing this one due to family hol in portugal.... COYB Keep me posted guys following the game on here!!
PAFELL Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 your last sentence is just plain stupid. if we lose then Kean is a bad manager and its a bad selection. If kean wins then it is lucky? give him the credit he derserve IF we manage to win today. FFS. stop. if we win then admit he got his selection correct. if it's a draw then its up to people what to think and see how we played. The line up was done without choice due to lack of transfers in. Givet, samba injured - but nobody to replace them. So Dunn and pederson in centre midfield. But the subs on the bench shows how weak a squad we really have.
Daremz Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Doyle himself is too smart for Hanley and N'Zonzi. We need to score 5 goals to win this. First blood is vital.
Grez Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Missing this one due to family hol in portugal.... COYB Keep me posted guys following the game on here!! Same here - can't find game so watching Liverpool game as a poor substitute
broadsword Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Never even heard of Henley and Bruno. We must have the smallest squad in the Premiership.
booth Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Exactly. If Chelsea had Terry, Ivanovic and Luiz out they too would struggle to fill those centre halve spots. And if they sold any of those they would have quickly replaced them.
Bluefudge Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Same here - can't find game so watching Liverpool game as a poor substitute Seems the only game anywhere..... Have to just sit back, update on here and drink Super bock!!!!!
Rover Down Under Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 COME ON YOU BLUES! Positive side of the riots is that with the Spurs game cancelled Rovers v Wolves has taken their place on Sky Sports - woohoo!
slough_rover Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 And if they sold any of those they would have quickly replaced them. Yes but were not talking about players that have been sold. Im comparing us losing three centre halves to injury. So tell me if Chelsea had those three injured just before the game who would they play?
Iceman Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Onouha is available, we could have tried or made a move for him. he at least would have brought experience with him, but no we still waiting on our active birds to be accepted.
