emerton Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Wish I was at ewood again, but will have to cope with a 12am kickoff! Have my fingers crossed for a 2-0 win. We have to ensure our home form is good, especially against the weaker teams in the league

Stuart Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 3-1 goodie, roberts & ped I can see G-Willie being on the bench. And I'll settle for a 1-0 win right now.
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Would it be wrong to suggest a scrappy win would be for the best? I only say that as we don't want any holes masking over. If flaws are evident then it might push us on a bit more on the transfer front. I think most fans would take any win. Looking at the fixtures we have to take as many points as possible before we start to run into a period of tricky games. But I do see your point.
otto man Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 3-0 to the mighty Blue and Whites! Gawd! I wish I was there for this one.
Glenn Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Don't forget the chat room is now fixed, open and active again during games! We used to get quite a good crowd in there on match days.
G Somerset Rover Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Feeling very nervous today but obviously can't wait for the big KO. Our defence frightens me. Looks like it'll be Givet and Hanley at the back which clearly isn't our first choice pairing by a long shot. I fancy Hoilett and maybe Formica to cause Wolves trouble though. Rovers 2 Wolves 1
Gav Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 3-0 to the mighty Blue and Whites! Gawd! I wish I was there for this one. I'll give them a shout for you otto
PAFELL Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I'll give them a shout for you otto I hope you all get behind the team today. We know the squad is short on numbers, so the support is more essential than normal. Supporters got behind the team for the last games of the season extremely well. Each match has to be treated as if survival depended on the result. We need the points on the table and quick. Watching sky at the moment, I bet the advert gets mentioned. Get ready for the mocking to start.
Billy Castell Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I'd like to see (injuries allowing): Robinson Emerton/Nelsen/Hanley*/Givet Nzonzi/Petrovic Hoilett/Formica/Olsson Badcock *=Since Samba may be out.
Mercer Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011  Youve been on here since November/December last year when the admin team allowed you back after being banned. In that time Ive not seen one post that shows any passion or commitment to Blackburn Rovers. Even the biggest venkys/kean haters show passion for the club at times, you mercerman do not, so I'll reserve jusgement on that score, but it was a funny remark though Almost 50 years supporting the club through thick and thin, well before you were born and a handful of tickets renewed this season despite the, IMO, shower of sh1te that now run our club. If that's not passion nor commitment then I don't know w.t.f. is. Why don't you just give it a rest instead of constantly knocking those who don't necessarily agree with your views.
niggit Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I would like, if all fit Robinson Emerton-Nelsen-Samba-Olsson Nzonzi-Petrovic Hoilett-Formica-Rochina Goodwillie
cn_barlow Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I think we will be exposed at the back today. Just Hope we can show something going forward to counter it. I will go for an away win. Rovers to be cast adrift by Christmas...ever the optimist!

ERIKS666 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I thought petrovic didn't have international Clearance yet? 666 Rovers forever
Mercer Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 This guy talks a lot of sense: http://themarpleleaf.blogspot.com/2011/08/right-back-from-holiday-off-to-football.html Just about to leave, however, had a call from a friend doing some corporate stuff today and he's been told that expected gate is just 20,000. With 3,500 from Wolves, that aint good.
Backroom Tom Posted August 13, 2011 Backroom Posted August 13, 2011 This guy talks a lot of sense: http://themarpleleaf.blogspot.com/2011/08/right-back-from-holiday-off-to-football.html Just about to leave, however, had a call from a friend doing some corporate stuff today and he's been told that expected gate is just 20,000. imy9 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 First game of the season and only 17k home fans would be a little sad, I'd expect about 24k.
Mattyblue Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I would be amazed if there was only 20000 there, we've sold around 15/16000 STs, so 0 are going to buy a ticket on the day?
moerpho Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Ohhh....I can't help it - I'm all giddy and oh so jealous of those of you lucky enough to be at Ewood today. At least I've renewed my TV2 Sumo subscription (official PL web-tv in HD - Norway) so I won't miss a minute of this season. Any news on the squad? Hoping for a good and entertaining game with a LOUD atmosphere around Ewood. COYB!
otto man Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I'll give them a shout for you otto Cheers Gav!
