PAFELL
Considered we needed a thread that says KEAN OUT in the hope that our owners will read it. The other KEAN thread has burnt itself out. I think most of us now want Kean out. We need a new manager at Rovers. Kean is out of his depth. He is not ready to be a manager of a premiership club. We now have a lot of young players at the club. Who with an experienced manager, such as MARK HUGHES could be shining lights for Rovers for s few years. An experienced manager would get the best out of these young players and nurture them properly. Kean is not that man. Managers who are available now are MARK HUGHES. Get him in quick, before it is too late. Then we could have a very good season. Venkys want to buy young players - good. But you need experience to guide the same. SACK STEVE KEAN - NOW

Mattie456
Not me. Just the kind of sensationalist claptrap our club doesn't need right now.
Stuart
As counter-intuitive as this sounds (coming from me), I'm not blaming Kean for today. I do blame Kean for not identifying and approaching the right players - many of whom have moved to new clubs this Summer for low fees. But that blame is not solely down to him and must be shared by the owners and advisors. For me, the lack of key players today means that I feel no more anti-Kean than I did yesterday. It's a knee-jerk thread in terms of timing. That said, I would fully support a move to bring in a more experienced manager. Mark Hughes' phone would be red-hot right now. It will be interesting to see how his appeal tomorrow goes and the owners reaction if it does not go in his favour.
Kelbo
Kean clearly isnt good enough, strong enough and should never ever have been made manager of Rovers, end of story really, his results are proof of the pudding, but OK, lets give hime time, time to take us further down. roversmum
Mark Hughes? Ah yes, just remind me, didn't he just jump ship from Fulham after just a year looking for something better? I don't think my memory is as bad as I thought either, because I distinctly remember him and his cronies losing interest in our club after Mark got the Manager of the Month award and losing us a European place because he couldn't be bothered to motivate the players for the final match of that season. It's highly unlikely he would bother to consider the position even if it were available... This thread is totally unnecessary in my view.
SIMON GARNERS 194
For me personally,Kean has the first 10 games this season to prove he is not the managerial nugget I think he is.Those 10 games include 2 versus newly promoted sides.

In the current circumstances, 'mum, I'd drive to his home to collect him and take him to Ewood for talks if I thought it might swing it.

To be honest Steve Kean DOES need to go but the problems lie far deeper. Before the summer I naively thought we'd spend what we earned, but this is obviously not the case. Still, it's unbelievable that some people think wanting a manager sacked who's managed a paltry 22 points from 22 games is some sort of knee jerk reaction. beerwins
Too soon and frankly it's the kind of thing our club does'nt need at the moment, what we need is a full squad and about 15 games then maybe it would be fair to judge him. We have had far too much unrest at the club and sacking Kean would add to this, all the problems that have gone on are not Kean's fault and in all fairness I think he did pretty well to keep us up after the takeover and the sacking of Sam, the owners were very naive and seem to be slowly learning. I certainly did'nt want him as manager and still dont but we dont need further unrest ........... what we need is players, and players that can add some experience.
