Rover9 Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 I would have been surprised had Samba gone to Villa and played, going off his playstation I.D. he was signed in and on FIFA until the early hours. The pictures of Petrovic in training showed Nelsen taking part so hopefully he is back at least giving us a bit of experience at the back. I do feel if we have a more stable back line today we can really give Villa a game and come away with something

Ricky Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Or he's spat his dummy and refused to play Tom. Our so called captain doesnt seem to be behaving like one.
philipl Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 As with Philip this morning, if you actually knew anything you'd just come out and say it rather than talk in riddles and then claim you were right if anything vaguely similar occurs. Patience dear boy. I hope we are wrong in which case we have not stirred up the hornet's nest unnecessarily.
BiggusLaddus Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Our so called captain doesnt seem to be behaving like one. Again.
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Again. Aye, it wouldn't be the first time.
John Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Thought Givet just had a stomach bug, unless I misunderstood Kean last week? I smell problems....
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Patience dear boy. I hope we are wrong in which case we have not stirred up the hornet's nest unnecessarily. Sorry Phil - but posts like this do as much damage to the club as the Venkys
sentient Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Sorry Phil - but posts like this do as much damage to the club as the Venkys ridiculous statement
philipl Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Samba, our real captain stood up in the dressing room and led us on the pitch to keep our club in the Premier League when Steve clueless Kean had lost it big time at the end of last season.
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Villa team: AVFCOfficial Aston Villa FC Villa: Given, Young, Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Delph, Petrov, N'Zogbia, Heskey, Agbonlahor, Bent. #avfc
Stuart Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 I am now absolutely convinced that Samba is on his way out. Disgusting and unprofessional behaviour if a team captain will stand by and let his team mates struggle on without him. I seriously hope Nelsen is back.
Pete1981 Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 CryerRovers Andrew Cryer Robbo, Salgado, Nelsen, Hanley, Olsson, Hoilett, Dunn, Nzonzi, MGP, Goodwillie, Roberts
michaelthomas Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Would have preferred Formica over Dunn but that's not as bad as I feared.
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 CryerRovers Andrew Cryer Robbo, Salgado, Nelsen, Hanley, Olsson, Hoilett, Dunn, Nzonzi, MGP, Goodwillie, Roberts That side looks weak, especially that midfield. Goodie needs to have a good game today if we are to get anything.
chris Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Villa team: AVFCOfficial Aston Villa FC Villa: Given, Young, Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Delph, Petrov, N'Zogbia, Heskey, Agbonlahor, Bent. #avfc everyone of them outfield players would walk into our side. Strong team. even the keeper is great.
Pete1981 Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 What is the Rovers team? CryerRovers Andrew Cryer Robbo, Salgado, Nelsen, Hanley, Olsson, Hoilett, Dunn, Nzonzi, MGP, Goodwillie, Roberts
philipl Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 CryerRovers Andrew Cryer Robbo, Salgado, Nelsen, Hanley, Olsson, Hoilett, Dunn, Nzonzi, MGP, Goodwillie, Roberts Hopefully we are playing 4-4-2 and willing to defend from the front. The bench will be interesting/frighteningly exposed. That Villa line-up will kill us if we try any of that diamond nonsense.
Ricky Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 We've gone 2 up front away from home, interesting.
Balwer Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 4-4-2 away from home? Interesting. EDIT: ahhh Ricky I knew you were an intelligent man.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 I don't want to sound cynical but 2 up front has coincided with the arrival of the Rao's.
John Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Trying to keep positive, having two up from could work as Goodwillie works his heart out. Villa team looks fairly dangerous.
chris Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 hands up if you are very worried of Kean getting his second defeat very nervous, more then usual
