Impressed by Dann? Are you kidding me? Worst center back at club since Amoruso I'd say. Not only do I see it with my eyes, but the stats prove it too!

To be fair in October when that was posted we didn't know that. We just thought he was a bit nervy in his first half-season.

One of the oddest rumours I've heard, but that happens with this farce of a club at the moment. Apparently Vukcevic has been 'converted' by some monks who have brainwashed him, he's given away all his worldy possessions and turns up for training in a taxi looking like a tramp. I can only assume it is BS, but I've heard it from 4 people now (none of them know each other, although none of them have any credibility as they think Goodwillie is a superstar).

But I can't fathom why Simon would want to stay given the few games he played... unless lighting strikes from clear blue sky and Kean get replaced with a decent manager.

And surely an international player would want to play in the top divisions?

He is not going to stay. No chance.

As to why he didn't play clearly he had a problem with Kean and Kean with him. He has a a history of disciplinay issues. Nonetheless the buck stops with Kean as whoever we sign with our pitiful transfer budget needs to be made the most of. Kean spectacularly failed to do that. He either got the wrong player or failed to correctly manage the player. Perhaps both.

As for the no show of Simon Vucevic? Who knows whats gone on there. BUT as he is a good player I doubt it's for footballing reasons, I'd wager it'll be for financial ones. Could it be that he's on a 'pay as you play' deal and the obligatory slice of match appearence money hasn't been hitting the Swiss bank account as agreed.

Vukcevic is simply another case of Kean's horrendous mismanagement of players.

I can only assume that he is yet another member of the squad who Kean didn't get along with.

It would appear to me that anybody who questions Steve Kean or his tactics has been dropped.

As a manager, you don't have to be friends with the player to be able to pick him.

Rochina and Vukcevic are useful players to have on the bench and arguably should even have got more starts!

i feel sorry for vukcevic and goodwillie who gets ruined their career here at rovers. Vuckevic impressed me going forward at the games i saw him play earlier in the season and he has the fighter attitude we really could have used during our war vs relegation. Goodwillie has been used wrong or not at all, and i think under a proper manager who would have used him correct he could have been good for us.

if vukcevic stays i think he will be v good to have in the championship

I only saw Vuckcevic in the cameo sub appearance against Arsenal, and even there you could see the potential. A rugged little fighter of a winger who retained possession (Diouf mk2 anyone?). His ostracism is one of the biggest misses of the season imho

The fact that another January signing (someone in the aftermath of cutting costs and changing approach to running club) in Marcus Olsson gets regular football and walks into the team when players like Simon dont get a look in is enough to raise alarms. Whoever thinks its for footballing reasons is naive.

It doesn't matter if he arrived for the financial benefit of individuals or whether it was a personality clash, if you're fighting a relegation battle and you have a quality player at your disposal why not use him?

The guy has a bit of experience at the highest level, knwos how to play football etc

Kean obviously saw him, along with Givet and Salgado as threats to his authority and he was swiftly cast aside to make way for the party liners in the squad

I would expect Huge Fernandez to be pushed into the first team next season. Sounds like a promising player.

it would be really good if 1 or 2 of the academy players could take the step up to championship football. we will probably not go up on 1st try even if venkys invest and sack kean, so would be good if youngster could get some experience

I was so excited when we signed this guy, what a disappointment it has been not to see him more often. Disappointment being the theme of the season I know, but still.

Happened to Kalinic last season as well.

He scored two goals at WBA and got sent off. But after that he never got a look in.

Now people have their own thoughts on Kalinic but the fact of the matter is he was getting in among the goals and we were hardly blessed with striking options.

I agree. Many things do not stack up. I also believe relegation was done deliberately.
