Stuart Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Watched the Muppets earlier. Brought a tear to my eye when they re-enacted the entire intro from the series. Ahh childhood I must admit the hairs on the back of the neck went up when they re-did this... It was a bit like handing over a part of my childhood to my kids. Waka waka! And if you are anything like me, I challenge you not to get a lump in your throat watching this... Quote

RoyRover Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 I saw Lady In Black a couple of weeks ago and thought it was a good show. Pretty chilling stuff. I saw Project X the other night and loved it. There will be people who hate it of course, but I'm not one of them! Quote
Amo Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Finally got around to watching the much hyped 'The Hangover'. It was entertaining in a way, but I was genuinely surprised by the lack of laugh out loud moments. I think the naked Chinese dude attacking them from the boot was the only giggle I had. Quote

MarkBRFC71 Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Just watched 'Senna' - outstanding. Couldn't recommend it enough - even the missus who isn't an F1 fan at all enjoyed it. Quote
RibbleValleyRover Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 The new 'Prometheus' trailer... WOW Quote
Rovermatt Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) Ridley Scott claims it isn't an Alien prequel. It clearly is. Edited March 18, 2012 by Rovermatt Quote
Audax Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 'There be dragons', about the Spanish Civil War, I'd give it high marks, watched 'Atlas Shrugs' last week, wouldn't rant about it but it was okay and had a good storyline. Quote
adopted scouser Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Ridley Scott claims it isn't an Alien prequel. It clearly is. Looks amazing, I have access to everything released but never bother watching anything. This will be a big mug of tea and the room all to myself, turn it up Quote
RoyRover Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I saw Paranormal Activity 3 last night. I thought that the ending to end was very, very dark and disturbing. I find movies that deal with the devil, demons, cults, possession, black magic and witch craft far scarier, than gore fests. I also watched the HBO movie Game Change, about the McCain / Palin campaign, last week and thought it was brilliant. Quote
Rover Down Under Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Looks amazing, I have access to everything released but never bother watching anything. This will be a big mug of tea and the room all to myself, turn it up Well that's my annual visit to the cinema decided for 2012. Ridley Scott is a bloody legend. Quote

adopted scouser Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Aye it is - no idea how I missed that. Saw extended footage at an industry event in Liverpool 1 a while back. Very funny, he gets in trouble for pumping that female worker, when the boss disciplines him he gets congratulated and promoted ! Quote
Cocker Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Thats brilliant. Someone said to me when I sent it them that Wahlberg wasn't really a good comedy actor but I thought he was ace in 'The Other Guys' Quote
Stuart Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Just watched The Help on dvd. Some amazing performances - rightly deserving of the awards - can't recommend this film highly enough. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted April 14, 2012 Backroom Posted April 14, 2012 Really looking forward to Cabin in the Woods but doing all I can to avoid spoilers Quote

ultrablue Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I'm not sure if it was released in England but I just saw the french comedy "Intouchables" Very highly recommended with at least 5 laugh out loud scenes. link Quote
Nelsta Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 (edited) TED To me it looks like that crap that's on BBC3, the one with Frodo and some guy dressed as a dog.albiet with better SFX. Hope it's lot better than that. There's a few decent looking films out this year, aside from the obvious biggies. Iron Sky Jack the Giant Killer Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter Edited April 16, 2012 by Nelsta Quote
adopted scouser Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 TED will take more money than that load of rubbish put together Quote
