Billy Castell Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Is that Predators just a reheated version of the original Predator? Looks crap whatever it is. Quote

adopted scouser Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Off to the smoke tomorrow to watch a load of new stuff, in Sony 4K HD Digital on the big screen (not some wanky download Biddy). Inception, Toy Story 3, Despicable Me, The A Team, Knight and Day and (hopefully) the Expendables Quote
Mc Love Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Hot tub time machine - 3/5 quite funny. She's out of my league - 2/5 not as funny as you would expect, too long, but the lead girl is nice I love you philip morris - 4/5 - funny, based on true events, good story, would recommend it. Hurt Locker - 4/5 great movie, real on-edge stuff Quote
Grabbi Graeme Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 MGM have said that the next James Bond movie have been shelved, this is due to financial problems, it's not sure when the next Bond movie will be made. Quote
Rovermatt Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 (edited) Empire's take on Inception. Edited July 6, 2010 by Rovermatt Quote
DP Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Watched Shanghai over the weekend. Didn't know anything about it but had generated a fair bit of interest here in Singapore. Excellent stuff. Dark, tense, visually stunning. Quote
adopted scouser Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Knight and Day - chick flick, loads of set pieces with not much holding it together The Hole - not great but aimed at a younger audience Despicable Me - Really annoying, maybe I was tired Toy Story 3 - superb (as you would expect). Few tears here and there The A Team - surprise surprise, fan bleedin tastic. Want to see it again "I think he's trying to fly the tank" Quote
RoyRover Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 I went to see Predators last night and it was bloody great. It does what it says on the tin - big monsters hunting humans on a faraway planet. Brilliant! It's left open for sequels which should be great. Quote
Presty On Tour Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I to see Predators the other day too. With the original Predator 1987 movie being a personal favorite of mine, I though the new movie was awful. Arnie and the former cast will never be bettered imo. Quote
Doaksie Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Watched Face/Off the other night for the first time in quite a while. Forgot how much I really liked it. Classic stuff. Quote
Mc Love Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Just in the middle of watching the Karate kid - its a bit naff Quote
Biddy Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Just in the middle of watching the Karate kid - its a bit naff Heathen!!! Quote
adopted scouser Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Heathen!!! And for a film that's supposed to be for kids weighs in at around two and a half hours 1 Quote
Biddy Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 And for a film that's supposed to be for kids weighs in at around two and a half hours ah, did this mean the new one and not the original? In which case I take back my comment and agree whole heartedly. Quote
Billy Castell Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 As great as Jackie Chan is, they could have at least got a Japanese actor to do the Mr. Myagi part. Getting someone from Honk Kong to play it is like getting a Frenchman to play someone from Scotland, or getting someone from Scotland to play an Egyptian whose lived a long time in Spain. Quote
Flopsy Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 And spent decades in japan. And lamberts quebecian fwiw But highlander still rocks btw Quote
Grabbi Graeme Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 According to Digital Spy Police Academy 8 will start filming next year for a 2012 release, many of the original cast will be in it, bet you can't wait can you. Quote
Biddy Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 According to Digital Spy Police Academy 8 will start filming next year for a 2012 release, many of the original cast will be in it, bet you can't wait can you. Yey, Sounds brilliant, original and just what Hollywood needs. (although I do love Police Academy 1 to 3) Quote
Nelsta Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Watched Hot Tub Time Machine, Loved it. I do think people around the mid 20's and over will really like it.Or anyone who would like to go back and change a few things. Quote
Robertson Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Saw Inception last night, great film, one of the best i have seen in a while Quote
ffan Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Saw Inception last night, great film, one of the best i have seen in a while I saw it last night as well, would need to watch it again to fully take it in. Quote
Rovermatt Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 I saw Inception last night and I'm still recovering from it. It's a hulking behemoth of film. It's exciting, mind-bending, unbelievably smart and incredible to look at. Nolan as a director is absolutely at the top of his game. Quote
Guest Kamy100 Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Saw inception tonight, echo what others have said on here, just a wonderful film which works on so many levels. Nolan is just a superb director who is willing to push the boundaries. Quote
sleepyjack Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Yet another who saw Inception last night, and it's brilliant. How Nolan could make a film so smart and yet so easy to grasp really is beyond me. Quote
