Rovermatt Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 (edited) Deja Vu is a good film. Typical Tony Scott/Jerry Bruckheimer effort, it doesn't really make a lot of sense but it's superb anyway. Edited January 7, 2007 by Rovermatt Quote

Eddie Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I have to admit I can't understand exactly how it works. They can see back in time for four days or something and are somehow trying to save the life of a girl who has already died? Quote
Radagast Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I just know the trailer lasted about 20 minutes and by the end all I had was "uuuhhh....so its sort of like Minority Report? But with Denzel?" Quote
sleepyjack Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 So it's sort of like Minority Report? But with Denzel? If the trailer had just said that, I'd have gone to see the film by now. Quote
Bazzanotsogreat Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Dont know if this has alraedy been covered but the Frank Miller adaptation of the 300 Spartans looks immense a mixture of Homeric fantasy mixed with a factual storyline Take a look at the trailer 300 Quote

Is this film part of a trilogy..?I think there are two other films from the saqme director s that continue the story line..Maybe Lady Vengance could be one of them.. Quote
sleepyjack Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 The 'vengeance' trilogy. Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance Oldboy Sympathy for Lady Vengeance Quote

Jimbo Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I'm dreading 300 - I've a facination with the Greco Persian wars and I'm worried it'll end up like another Braveheart - If you want to expand on the reading then Herodotus - The Histories gives an excellent viewpoint written 50 years after Thermopylae and Artimesium and Peter Green's Greco Persian Wars is very good Quote

There are no pretentions of historical accuracy and it's hyper-stylised visuals are supposed to be over blown. Quote

FourLaneBlue Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 Galliopli wasnt made up There was a negative portrayal of the upper crust British officers sending the good old working class Aussies to their death which was pretty fair to be honest. That said those same kind of officers treated the working class Tommies as cannon fodder to so it was nothing personal! Quote
Bazzanotsogreat Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 Galliopli wasnt made up I never said any of thoses were made up, all that i am saying that his films usualy portray a negative spin against whoever in thoses cases the English Quote
