JAL Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Man target? Sounds a bit fruity. Looks like the truth is coming out now
Billy Castell Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Maybe these are the pictures Jason Roberts has of Kean that means a starting place in the team. I hope we're in for another striker as well as Vedad, even on loan. Roberts should never start again, and Kalinic needs replacing.

BPF Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Andrew Cryer @CryerRovers Vedad is defo Kean's man target. He wont be getting both strikers. So we desperately need a striker, two really.... So we sign someone who is injured for at least a month. Good choice.
BiggusLaddus Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Whilst at the same time making an approach for another striker from Ajax, who is fit, with the intention of signing them both.
brfcjon Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Whilst at the same time making an approach for another striker from Ajax, who is fit, with the intention of signing them both. thinking a couple of strikers will get us out of the mess we are in..
Eddie Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 It will go a long way towards it. Throw Nelsen, Givet, Samba and John into the mix at the back and then a goalscorer up front and the side starts to look like it has some spine and shape to it. We have had three central defenders out injures and for some reason everyone seems to think that we need to sign dozens more. None of them have long-term injuries, it would be ridiculous to bring in replacements for players who will only be missing a week or two.
Nelsta Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 SkySportsPeteO Pete O'Rourke Blackburn boss Steve Kean has given Hoffenheim striker Vedad Ibisevic a 24-hour deadline to decide on a move to Ewood Park. #BRFC I dont get this tweet, i thought we were checking his fitness first and then it's up to us wether we want him?
alexanders Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Love how people are talking about not being ready until after September even though reports say he is likely to play for the national team 6th of September.

alexanders Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Must have dreamt it. Couldnt find it :| This is from his own homepage though: I received lots of motivating messages from you and I can tell you know that I'm in cheerful spirits to be back on the pitch very soon. Most likely I will return into the regular team training next week and hopefully onto the big Bundesliga-stage shortly.
Eddie Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 No, you didn't. It was reported the other day that he was hopeful of being involved in the games on the 6th.

That article on his website was from the 19th so he must have been expecting to start training this week?? Good news as he could surely be involved in 3-4 weeks if thats the case
Bennisfromheaven Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Ibisevic seems to have a good clean strike of the ball & seems to be more clinical than the likes of Kalanic!! Though I rated Kalanic & thought he would do well given the chance I always felt that alot of his goals seemed to go in off his ar$e!! I think this could be a decent bit of business to swap Kalanic for Ibisevic without encountering a loss!!

67splitscreen Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Looks like the medical won't happen today, visa not arrived.
tuzla Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 some bosnian site also suggest Ibisevic has 24 hours to decide. Else we will go for Mounir El Hamdaouij. http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sarajevo-x.com%2Fsport%2Fnogomet%2Fclanak%2F110826056&act=url
paullarrygher Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Ibisevic hold up seems incredibly amateurish from his end. Though I would have thought the simple solution would have been to hold the medical in Germany?
Hughesy Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Though I would have thought the simple solution would have been to hold the medical in Germany? And trust his clubs mates with a medical?? Id much rather we use our normal people to make the correct decisions
paullarrygher Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 I'm pretty sure it has happened before in other transfers. Clubs send over members of their medical team and either oversee a medical or perform it themselves in a private hospital.
patrickvalery Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 This is a bloody shambles! I'd opt for the Ajax lad now on principle. The Ibisevic deal has rumbled on for too long. What is that god awful sign in our dressing room again? 'Be proactive not reactive' or some such cliche.
