, there is a sort of senior players committee (Roberts, Nelsen etc.) which the owners listen to, if senior players turn on Kean then he will be history, if they don't then he may cling onto his job.

.

No surprise there as Jason is chief cheerleader for the manager but I thought Nelsen would be more objective and can see the long-term implications of sticking with Kean. I assume Salgado will also be having his say and I doubt he would hold back with a few home truths.

West Ham were identified immediately as relegation candidates after Villa stuck 3 goals past them in the opening weeks of last season and commentators are saying exactly the same about Rovers now. West Ham made the mistake of sticking with Grant and paid the price so the issue to me is clear: Get rid of Kean now and we might have a chance..

Stop thinking with your balls and get a brain...at least a lobe or two.

bottom of the league, no points, no sign of any points, players wanting to leave, all the best people in the club left,

media laughing their heads off and you want to wait

FFS

what do you want to wait for, some devine intervention?

I haven't lost respect for Roberts, he genuinely is a very nice man who for whatever reason believes in Kean. Also it is the owners who choose to listen/consult senior players, again not the fault of the players, they just pass on what they feel to owners.

can't really blame Roberts, Kean has given him a starting place in the team, a new contract, allowed him to go on the radio every weekend even after losing and a position of power in the squad.

Roberts putting down Kean would be like a child putting down Father Christmas after getting a new BMX and his favourite GI Joe doll.

He's looking after number one, himself.

In all honesty I couldn't give two hoots whether the players are backing Kean or not. In my own mind I am resigned to relegation this season so these players would be off anyway. It is our club and the momentum we are gathering shows that we care because we are the only constant at Blackburn Rovers.

The worst part is, that if they do sack him, how do we know they wont do the same thing all over again and appoint Jensen?

That would be even worse! (I think!)

So I hope they know its not all about removing Kean by all costs, its about replacing him properly like they should have done when Sam was sacked!

Spot on. IE Hughes or Souness for preference. O'Neil would do failing either of those.

dubdubdub isn't in a minority of one and there's no need to be so ungracious about it.

He's perfectly entitled to his viewpoint Matty,be careful you don't assume that you speak for everyone.

He certianly is yeti.

However, on this board and even more so in the 'real world' of Rovers fans Kean is unpopular to a degree I have never witnessed.

I would love your opinon on THE ISSUE AT HAND yeti, instead of your usual approach of slapping down other posters.

Maybe im biased. Never liked Roberts and I dont agree with people talking about his commitment. For me he is: Free kick away, smiling to the ref. Giving away a new free kick. Arguing with the ref. Terrible touch. Horrible miss. Especially the give away free-kicks in stupid manners is grinding my gears.

Agreed. Isnt Roberts always the reason we get free kick against us when we have a corner?

Anyway, skysports have picked up the Roberts-backing-Kean-story, oh well :P

Roberts is crap at football. However it seems he is very good at licking the owners and Kean's bottoms. It's jobs for the boys BIG TIME!

The sensible thing would have been to have done it last season but some people on here wanted the clown to have more time, well he was given more time and things are worse, the balance of the squad is all wrong and its evident he can neither motivate the team nor set the lads up effectively!!

No wonder Samba and Givet want out!!

Last season that would've been a disasted that could've/probably would've resluted in our relegation. Now is another bad time. We are yet to bring in a striker and we need to ensure that players stay at the club.

With the turmoil you're all creating it may cause unrest with the current players. I also seem to remember you all wondering why players would sign for Kean. Well why will they sign for Kean with his future and the club's future in doubt.

I realise you're entitled to voice your opinions. I feel it is a bad time to do so.

My tuppence worth to Mr Rao

Dear Mr Rao

I am a life-long supporter of Blackburn Rovers Football Club. I retain my season ticket and so do both of my sons, despite living over 200 miles away in Glasgow, Scotland. We travel to every home game and go to many games away from Ewood Park too. We spend a lot of money following our beloved football club, it means the world to us.

I’m sure many people have emailed you to ask that you remove Steve Kean from the position of manager. I would reluctantly agree with all of them. I initially supported his promotion from coach to manager; he seemed to have a good reputation and his philosophy seemed to be to play open attractive entertaining football – in short the exact opposite of his predecessor.

However, success for a club like Blackburn Rovers is partly about results and partly about entertainment and sadly he has failed to deliver on either count. This is of course leaving aside the strong rumours about how he got the job in the first place, in terms of his behaviour towards the previous manager and his links with Kentaro/SEM. I don’t know enough about that to make a judgement on it, but I have to say it doesn’t look too good from an outsider’s point of view.

However, what cannot be left aside is his behaviour during his conviction for drink driving. He has proved himself to be a liar and a fool who will say anything to wriggle out of a situation. He has therefore lost any trust the fans ever had in him and not a word that comes out of his mouth will ever have an ounce of credibility. As I say, he might, just might, have got away with this had the results on the pitch been better, but the fact is they aren’t and they are unlikely to improve with Steve Kean as manager.

You will now know that you are on a steep learning curve in respect of owning a premier league football club, and one of the lessons you really need to grasp is the connection with the fans. We are the lifeblood of the club, without us the club would die. Despite what you may have heard the vast majority of Rovers fans are willing to embrace Venkys and work with you in whatever way we can, but for that to happen there needs to be better communication.

I won’t go into the departures of Messrs Williams and Finn, but one thing I will say about John Williams is that the fans trusted him. He was open and honest and very communicative, even when he was delivering news that wasn’t good, he always explained what was going on and why. I understand that some new backroom appointments have been made and hopefully this will be a step in the right direction. You need a John Williams-type character to engage with the Blackburn Rovers supporters.

Finally I would urge you and your family to do the right thing and rid yourself of the buffoon who has conned his way into managing the football club. He has turned out to be a silver tongued idiot who is no more a premier league football manager than I am. He may be a ‘nice man’ and he may ‘work hard’ but he just doesn’t cut it as the manager of such a proud institution as Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

So please act now to protect your company’s asset and give us back the soul of our club.

Kind regards and best wishes

Two weeks into the season. No points...hardly the end of the world. Everton just lost to QPR at home.

Who wants to leave exactly? Givet? Dispute before the new owners. Samba? Has wanted to leave for a good two seasons. Jones? Tapped up by United who got ravaged for more money than they wanted.

And with regards to all the best people at the club having left...that's not even part of your argument. On that basis you should be protesting about Venkys, not Kean. Did he force Venkys to sack them or tell Williams to take a hike? No.

Stop talking balls.

Absolute rubbish...he should be removed straight away before the damage is even worse...they're obviously not playing for him...

Roberts, Salgado, Hanley, Dunn must all leave the club.

Roberts gives his all for the club on and off the pitch and yes he's not one of the best players we've ever seen but his commitment is second to none and far better than the people who are running our club.

Good squad player and we are left with no choice but to play him as there's no-one else to fill his shoes is there?

Another Keith Andrews so...playing out of his depth

I take it you have not read the blog by Glenn. Nor the article in the media about the way the club is being run. Nor concerns raised by the LT (even though mutedly)

It is not just about the past two matches or even the shambles of last season. But the whole situation with regards things at the club. Me I would have sacked him just on the drink driving charge and conviction. This makes him a bad role model for young footballers / supporters. He is also a liar as was mentioned in his court case. he admitted lying in court.

He is not to be trusted.

I will not strongly outwardly criticise kean to do so is detrimental/suicide for the club so close to the transfer window. It is a time when casting further doubts in the minds of current squad players and potential transfer targets is VERY damaging to the future of the club. To highlight these further to the national and world press is testiment to signing the death warrent for the club. What at this stage is to be achieved by this? So kean is forced out (results are unfortunately going against him at the moment with out any help) I am VERY aware of the short comings of venky's this is not the time to further highlight these and put them further in the public domian-time will nodoubt reveal them for what they truely are to the world, but to speed this process up and enhance it serves no purpose. we have no buyer for the club, we have no knight to rescue us...our only option is to support the current structure and promite rovers to the world as a utd and strong unit who is pulling together (manager included). ONLY THEN WILL WE KEEP PLAYERS AND ATTRACT TALENT.if you want the hoiletts and the olssons of this world or even the givets and sambas to stay then don't call their position as professionals into question by devaluing their place of employment. would you stay on a sinking ship or would you jump? woujld you join a ship on the way down? as a manager i wouldn't put my self in the position of replacing kean right now. Especially if i was an avid reader of the TELEGRAPH. How does that story help the club move forward??? To me this path isn't the answer. Other's will have their own views.

We dont mind people saying they are members of BRFCS - but please dont say that you are a representative of BRFCS. Editorially only, despite us all wanting Kean out, were staying neutral.
