[Archived] KEAN OUT!

Recommended Posts

My email:

Hi Vineeth,

I would first like to say that as a BRFC fan of over 20 years and a season ticket holder for 10 of them years and now a 100 Club member that myself, like almost all Rovers' fans want you as our owners to be a success!

With new ownership comes change, I accept that. However, I feel as a fan that the heart and soul of our club has been ripped out and the fans are not being listened too.

A summary of most BRFC fans feelings about what is happening has very eloquently been published by Henry Winter in the Daily Telegraph today the link is: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/blackburn-rovers/8716982/Henry-Winter-Venkys-falling-short-at-Blackburn-Rovers-compared-to-high-standards-set-by-Jack-Walker.html

Without going into too much detail as you have already received lots of heartfelt pleas from fellow fans I feel that with Steve Kean in charge we are doomed to life outside of the premiership. All you have to do is look at other clubs like:

Charlton

Leeds

Portsmouth

Bradford

Barnsley

Sheffield United

Sheffield Wednesday

Derby County

All these teams have been in the top flight and most are now crippled with debt and are far from a success. Blackburn Rovers has always been a club that is the heartbeat of the town when the club is suffering the people within the town is suffering. 2 wins from 17 is not acceptable. His record in total is not acceptable and is even worse when the wins in Dec/Jan were against West Brom and Liverpool. Both who were with managers that were soon dispensed. He did not keep us up, he almost wasted your investment!

I, along with most other fans call upon you to remove Kean from his position ASAP. I will be @ Ewood on Sat, I will continue to support the team and you as owners for now but not Steve Kean.

Thank you for your time.

Regards

Gary

Just occurred to me what can be done - get True Blue & Whites avatar blown up onto placards and take then to the match tomorrow. Make posters of it and I'll hand deliver them to every house in town. Put it on a giant flag and pass around the Blackburn end. Hopefully he won't want copyright.

Add my name to that list and change the timescale to the last 12 months. What to do about it - absolutely nothing! What's the point it's far too late, we're way up the creek without a paddle.

Be realistic who'd come with the Venkys in charge, only the desperate. Anyone with a reputation would lose it in a season at Ewood. Venkys will not provide funds, so any new guy will be stuck with the current squad. Everyone knows the issue with the squad make up and balance. There are no backroom staff left, the place is an empty shell. Everyone from the doctor to the chairman have either walked or been pushed.

Stable doors and bolting horses come to mind. The only way to fix this is not with a managerial change but with an ownership change PLUS a managerial change. That's not going to happen, we've been around this loop umpteen times, the Venkys won't sell - end of story.

Colour me bitter, but that's how I see. They've crapped all over the club, it's heritage and traditions and reduced us to a laughing stock. It took a miracle to keep us up last season and it will take another this season. Everything that can be said has already been said - trouble is no one is listening.

Its never too late to protest against the manager, and I'm 100% sure we'd be inundated with applications should the job ever come up. A new manager would bring in his own backroom team and that alone would be a start.

It needs the fans to turn, banners, protests outside the Jack Walker stand, that action alone will start the process heading in the right direction, posting outrage on here and playing 'disgusted of Wilpshire' isn't going to cut it I'm afraid.

Kean should just be spiked in the out try.

As for waiting for ten games into this League season; he will have had well over 30 games in chrge by then- what the heck are you looking for?

I didn't say I would give him 10 games anymore. I only commented on someone who said they had the patience to wait 10 games.

And I said if he wins a few games that could buy him 10 games at least with venkys and the press.

Sooner he is sacked the better.

So this thread has once again turned into slagging Kean off and isn’t now dealing with the issue for which it was intended, which was:

What are people going to do to try and force the man out of his position?

We’ve got plenty of people on here who have been calling for his head for months, what are you lot going to do about it?

Kelbo? Philipl? Mercerman? 47er? Matty? Bryan? PAFELL? And many more?

We have the Sheffield Wednesday in the cup tomorrow night, how are you going to voice your anger at the current situation? I’d like to know as I’m sure many would.

The question should be 'what can we do'. Apart from sending emails to the owners, media etc there is not a lot we can do. This IS BEING DONE, emails etc are being sent. Others who are able to attend Rovers matches can voice their protests at matches. Sadly I live in the south and cannot get to matches. Travelling up for sheff wednesday, night match, mid-week and then being able to full fill commitments I have down here, is not feesible.

Others have said they are going to write emails and protest - but we are stuck. But that does not mean we do not keep looking at ways to see if there is something can be done.

Fans need to turn up in numbers and voice their discontent over Kean, he is on the brink, just needs one final push, make no mistake, fan power this week has made them at least sit up and listen.

Interesting Kamy. Thanks.

Do you think Balaji or Venkatesh might be caretakers on Saturday against Everton?

Is the delay in signing Vukcevic to do with the doubt over Kean's future?

Either because the Rao's don't want to make another signing for a manager they've lost faith in or because Vukcevic has decided he doesn't want to join the club anymore?

how many times a season do you manage to get to ewood? not a critism or trick question.

I think there needs to be some sort of symbolic gesture at the game tomorrow to further capture Venkys attention and then reinforce it again on Saturday.

How about one of those massive flags that cover a stand with the big V sign Abbey has adopted with "Kean out", or "Venkys=Incompetence" in big white letters?

Let's hope John Jensen isn't a hard worker...

Good to hear Venky's have took notice of the emails and articles being written by journalists and fans. They have a chance here to reverse some of the damage they have done, let's hope they make the most of this opportunity.

Love or hate the owners we are stuck with them, nobody is going to buy the club in the near future. The anger needs to be solely directed at Kean.

Please Keep the emails and constructive post going, as Kammy has said these are hitting the bullseye,

This also gives everyone hope that fans DO Matter and biting the hand that feed's you will always catch up with you.

The Unity that fans are showing will get this club back on track, and the news is travelling fast not just here but abroad,

This is one occassion where the term "Any press is good press" Does not refer to Venkys, for PR this will hurt them in their quest for worldwide brand awareness.

They appear to be listening and as Kammy has said "One final push from the fans should tip the scales"

Exactly.

People need to protest at the matches, banners are a start, worked really well at Villa and gained them publicity on all the major stations and in the national papers.

The protests against Bill Fox in the 80's always started with fox out chants followed by gatherings outside the Nutall street stand. Local press and radio always turned up and the national media soon picked up on the issues.

Emails and letters are fine, but frankly they're not going to cut it. Sky cameras and a few hundred outside the Jack Walker stand will, and those pictures will be beamed around the world.

you thought of any symbolic gestures ??

I think replicating the 'Poznan' thing that City have adopted could be a good shout.

Supporters collectively turning away from the action with some anti-kean chanting would have a really powerful visual impact on the Venkys in attendance.
