[Archived] KEAN OUT!

Recommended Posts

So this thread has once again turned into slagging Kean off and isn’t now dealing with the issue for which it was intended, which was:

What are people going to do to try and force the man out of his position?

We’ve got plenty of people on here who have been calling for his head for months, what are you lot going to do about it?

Kelbo? Philipl? Mercerman? 47er? Matty? Bryan? PAFELL? And many more?

We have the Sheffield Wednesday in the cup tomorrow night, how are you going to voice your anger at the current situation? I’d like to know as I’m sure many would.

Gav, I'm delighted that somewhere along the line, you underwent a conversion similar to St Paul on the road to Damascus.

Some of us saw the signs months ago and were frowned upon for banging the drum and being 'negative'.

What will I do about it - well for a start, I'll be there tomorrow vocally giving Kean hell and will also join any protests outside the ground either before or after the match. If one of my pals comes along, dependent upon timing of a flight into Manchester, we will be in the JW as close to the dugout as possible, as my pal is ex RU and built like the proverbial and not even the two guerrillas who escort the ref off at half time could quieten him.

What will you be doing ?

I think replicating the 'Poznan' thing that City have adopted could be a good shout.

Supporters collectively turning away from the action with some anti-kean chanting would have a really powerful visual impact on the Venkys in attendance.

The above also means no monetary impact on fans and should be relatively straight forward to co-ordinate.

Wish I could get to the Wednesday game tomorrow but a midweek trip from London not practical at the moment with the hours I am working currently. Very pleased and proud of the momentum this is generating and would encourage all who can attend to do so and make your frustration clear. As Kammy has mentioned this is getting them to at least sit up and take notice.

I thought the immediate issue about a week ago was to bring in a new striker (or two) and a new defender whilst simultaneously keeping hold of Samba and forcing Junior to sign a new contract.

A very unfortunate choice of words there dubdubdub! Nobody can FORCE him to do any such thing, and the suggestion if it ever reaches him could well have the exact opposite effect. Especially on his dad/agent. Try "encourage" or "persuade" instead.

You are the most negative poster that has ever posted on this site mercerman, lets not kid ourselves about that, you've also posted plenty of cr@p to stir up trouble, but we'll move on now should we :D

I'm also in the JW tomorrow, and with the gate probably being on the low side, I'll first of all be looking and listening for someone 'vocally giving Kean hell'that’s sat next to ‘ex RU and built like the proverbial’,then I’ll be joining in with any direct action that’s seen on the night.

I honestly don't know if he's to blame for a lot of things or not, everything seems so confusing at the moment I have no idea who has what power. Either way he's not making things any better and I have zero confidence in him anymore as a manager to take our football club forwards, regardless of who is in charge.

Protests are a bit of an extreme idea, but in my opinion we are in a pretty extreme situation.

Since he's been in charge we've beaten QPR, Wolves, Bolton, West Brom (twice) and Liverpool. Other than the Liverpool result it's hardly that amazing.

I certainly will, lets face it, I'll not be able to avoid you, 'giving Kean hell' 'sat next to an ex RU built like the proverbial'

Worth noting we beat Liverpool at their lowest ebb in maybe 15 years or more, and Bolton had numerous players injured, had very little to play for at the time and were on a horrendous run themselves. The other results are, as you said, nothing amazing.

It never needed to be this way and I find it frustrating and a little sad that fans have been left with little choice other than to vent their unhappiness and unrest at matches.

On the subject of the fans, I think they have been amazing to not complain more vociferously at anytime in the last 8 months or so.

Good point, it was a great time to play Liverpool, the only other result worth mentioning I can recall is the draw at the Emirates. All in all without even going into any of the background stuff or even the drink driving stuff, his on the pitch results haven't been good enough.

Who could we honestly get that worse, hell let's bring in Brian Kidd and Paul Ince as a duo.

scotch baldy fatty liar makes me sick

I take grave exception to that stupid post! What on earth has being Scottish got to do with it? The rest of it is Ok.

Oh and another thing that may just improve your limited knowledge.......The word "Scotch" is only ever used to describe whisky. The correct word for the nationalty is the one I have used.

Kamy, and anyone ITK - genuine question here, just to ask if assuming Kean gets potted before the transfer window - would that put a halt to our transfer incomings as well?

In a word YES and that is the CONCERN-1 week to allow transfers to be sealed/window to be closed. Venky's have taken enough persuading to open their pockets they won't need to think twice to close them again. WHY now why not next week-this is VERY shortsighted in light of this. Have people no intelligence? The squad is depleted see what the window brings and then move afterwards NOT NOW.

We Rovers fans have always been known for our extreme patience.....Yes seriously. I celebrate my 65th season as a Rovers fan this coming November and I can honestly say Rovers fans are the most patient of the lot. It takes something most extraordinary to make them take any sort of drastic action. The last instance being after the 1960 Cup Final debacle when literally 1000's swore never to visit Ewood again and the vast majority never did. (around 10,000 in round figures)
