New manager?

Or new players?

I'm leaning towards new players. With a stronger squad and more quality in the side, it'll increase our chances of staying up. Especially if the players rally together as they did back-end of last season.

Sacking Kean means hiring a new manager = no money on new signings. And there's no guarantee Venky's will hire the right man.

I was thinking that. What if they simply promote Jensen or Brunskill as Manager? How would folks feel then?

Definately, new manager. We cannot entrust our future with Kean in anyway, shape or form. PL survival is absolutely vital for our club and anything that threatens that needs removing asap.

I have today moved camp from being patient to being against Mr Kean. By giving things a lot of thought I have come to the decision that this guy have to be removed.

* A totally spineless Rovers team against Villa. Some good football, but no togetherness and effort and horrible organisation. I have this weekend watched Arsenal - Liverpool, Villa - Rovers, WBA - Chelsea and yesterday Bolton - City. All the teams with a lot more effort and joy of the game than we showed. THIS FOR ME IS VERY IMPORTANT.

* A drunk driver. As a proffessional you should think about being a role-model.

* Blaming the fans on spiking his drink? He really has NO moral standards.

* A horrible statistic with 2 wins in 16.

I am all about giving someone time, but enough is enough. He is a joke of a manager and should be replaced. It would be very dangerous to give the manager more time and end up with a worse challenge for a new manager than necessary.

I can't believe always optimistic and naive myself are typing this. Good luck with the banners!

Get the feeling Kean cant be sacked by Venky's because Venkys arent the real owners but just the front for someone else.

Yet its easy to use Venkys lack of knowledge of footballing matters for their partners in crime down at Ewood park.

Maybe Eddie can put together his consortium?

the signings would still come in!

do you really think kean is in control of signings at the moment?

we need someone to come in whos got the balls to stand up to venkys and who not just a yes man!

Didnt Goodwillie not sign untill he had a chat with Kean though?

Again Kean is an insult to our club and he should've gone before the start of the season.I just think now there wouldnt be enough time in this window for a new manager to get who he wants in.

Regardless of who was brought in nobody will get the goals needed to stay up from Jason Roberts.

Would it not be easier to initially push kean down the ladder for a new manager. then it may be easier to still bring players quickly? Then a new manager could bring his own staff.

I agree with this. He seems a good coach, but I dont think I would stand seeing his face and dry mouth on the sidelines in a rovers badge anymore :(

As poor as I think Kean is - sacking him will not solve the real problem at the club.

It's not Kean's fault that we haven't replaced players. I'm pretty sure he would have wanted people in for the start of the season. If we've not got the right people with the right experience conducting the transfers - we're going to have problems.

Venky's are the real problem here. I'm sure they're trying, but they have no experience in running a football club and appear to have been badly advised from the start.

If we lose to Wednesday and Everton - he needs to go - but the true problems are much deeper.

I'm 100% behind makey11 and anyone else who wants action, i.e the removal of Steve Kean out of the loop.

There is never a good time to protest, as people will always find reasons not to,

However this should of been done months ago, and now is as good as time as any, Venkys only get told what they want to hear, the time for egg shell walking has now come to an end and the supporters voice must be heard.

We can all complain about things but unless you act upon those complaints theyw ill always fall on death ears.

Makey11 has proved beyond reasonable doubt that his knowledge of behind the scene's activity is 100% correct, and his knowledge of this has astounded me. He does not often post an opinion and I think I Read a quote from him the other day that he likes to sit back in the background and correct people if they are wrong regarding key information,

This post from him today has made my day, as he is a very strong source for everyone who uses BRFCS and for him to be saying these things now, only adds fuel to information which Me and others have.

Thanky you Makey11

We have had far worse squads before! but weve also had managers that have got each of the 11 players running there socks off!

I remember a couple of years ago they showed a replay on MOTD of a couple of players (i think dunn nelson & pedersen) all throwing themselves head first accross the goal line in pure desperation and managed between them to keep the ball out.

could you see this happening now??? i certainly cant!

i agree that the problem is much deeper than kean! but if we can at least get someone in who can motivate the players we can at least stay up!

At the end of the day Kean is the boss and now has 2 wins in his last 16 league matches, or 3 wins in 17 matches or 4 wins in 19 matches whichever way you wish to write the stats.

This run includes Wolves x 2, West Ham, Bolton, Birmingham, Blackpool, Fulham, Newcastle and Wigan. This includes the three relegated teams from last season and two last day survivors in Wigan and Wolves.

Time to give someone qualified a go.

An interesting post and a very viable option, and in this unique situation we find oursleves in, one which the owners would consider

Very much apprecieted that post glen9mullan!

And im glad to see im not the only one who thinks our voices need to be heard!

i know for a fact venkys think the fans like kean...

and how would they think any different as there hasnt been any anti kean chants or banners...

i also know that if there are enough banners at the 2 games he will be gone!!!

People shouldnt worry about the players coming in... they will come in irrelevent of who is manager!

If anyone else agrees with me....ACT NOW!!!! BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!!!

He needs to go now before it's too late - it's just excuse after excuse with this guy. I for one won't be protesting because I'm simply not going to bother turning up. A low attendance on the first home game suggests others are already doing that.

I can't fault the players for individual effort, but I actually hope Everton turn us over, three straight defeats is that bit more difficult to worm your way out of Mr Kean.

Well done Makey.

The club is seemingly rotten to the core and standing still is not an option. It's not too late to turn things around, but one thing is for sure... Kean has to go.

See you on Wednesday. (Coming over from Ireland for this one).

KEAN OUT

Taxi for Kean!!!

His tactics and team selection was awful for the Villa game!!!

We need to bring in a Proper Proven PL manager in ASAP!!!

I still can't believe that the owners still think we like Kean has manager???

I thought they look at this m/b and knew what we thought.

Any chance that signs could be put up around the stadium today ? I know they will probably be taken down, but the sky cameras might pick up on it. I would, but living in Somerset, it is a little too far for me to come up today !

Just thinking it might start to make the owners think now.

I can't believe that someone said that this will look stupid if we are beating Everton. The last game mentality on this board is unbelieveable. We have players that are capable of winning an odd game on their own, this protest is about the fact that Kean should have never been given the position in the first place and has done nothing to keep his place either. It is a complete joke that he is manager and has done little more than a guy off the street in India could have achieved. Even on Football Manager this fraudster would have been fired a long time.

Hughesy, you are a poster I like but the fact that you've had a pleasant chat with Kean is totally clouding your judgement on this. We are far, far worse than we were under Ince. He is only in the job because he is the third Rao brother and presumably Mrs Desai has a thing for him... Just look at us in the press, we are a complete laughing stock. I've never known it like this before. You can ask anyone 'in the know' on this messageboard, in football we are considered a joke. It's depressing to see and it is far worse than getting battered by the big four was under Sam.

We have the basis of a good side, there is no doubt. Regardless of the relegation fodder nonsense that gets spoken about on here, with a good manager, we could really be a decent side (with a little more investment of course).

The problem we have though is Kean is a rabbit in the headlights. He cannot believe how lucky he is and therefore will jump to whatever command is given to him, a good manager is not likely to do this...not jumping to every command is one of the qualities needed in strong management...

Would he take that step down? If the majority of players don't back him as a manager he may just go, feeling that he has no allies in a reduced role. Alternatively, he could work to undermine the new appointment as they would be taking the job he is currently gripping with both hands.
