I hate the way this thread has gone.

I hate the stalinism of some involved..when alternative opinions are greeted with derision and comments like'grow a pair'.

I hate the way it's become personalised by nasty insults..'fat','baldy','scotch','liar','clown'..playground bully stuff at its worst.

I hate the way previously stable contributors like Kamy and Glen seem to have developed a blood-lust.

I hate the preening of people copying the e-mails they've sent to Venky's like they've just passed some kind of initiation ceremony.

I hate that this is happening now.. should have been close season if at all. I don't get this 2 games in.

I hate the bile and vitriol and the sense that some are actually enjoying this.

Give me as many -'s as you like but I'm entitled to say what I'm feeling and if I don't say anything because of fear of retribution that just makes me the worst kind of spineless fool,so fill your boots.

You make some very valid points - good post, well said. I do still think there are balanced posters on here regardless of their views, but they seem to be getting fewer and farther between

Kelbo - not defending Kean in any way - but is quite obvious that he was made promises that the Venky's just didn't follow up on. To be fair to Kean - any manager would struggle given the pre-season transfer turmoil that has surrounded the club - combined with the loss of our four first choice centre halves to injury or transfer.

Going forward - I just hope the Venky's have learnt from their sacking of Sam - and have a replacement lined up if they do decide to sack him. Personally I would give him another couple of matches. Lose tomorrow and Saturday - it could be curtains - and given his overall record he couldn't really complain.

I will take some of that DMTP, my feeling is that a good manager would have stood up to the owners and said, no one goes until we get replacements, in doing so, Kean would have gained respect of the supporters and football people in general, even if he was sacked.

My biggest gripe is this, we knew Nelsen wasnt going to be fit for the start of the season, we had lost Jones and there was and still is a strong possibility Samba (and even Givet) will leave!!

Why have we not looked at defensive cover, that to me is extremely poor management at any level and to dat we have Anderson, Ribiero and John, none of whom are tried at decent levels of football.

I don't understand his selections (dropping the goalscorer from the prior match on numerous occasions), tactics, or substitutions (he seems to be unable to even react to events (never mind preempt them),he simply waits till the 75th minute regardless of what is happening on the pitch).

I agree with you - but have thought that with a number of managers. Where Kean has had little credit - is that often players have been rested because they have been carrying little knocks etc which he has kept out of the press. I can think of a number of occasions last season when the MB went into melt down prior to matches when certain players weren't playing - when reasonable explanations post match fully explained their absence. Unfortunately people have made their minds up about Kean - and are always apt to think the worst of him and his decisions.

Substitutions are always a tough one - take Aston Villa match. By all accounts we were on top after scoring and looked like getting back to 2-2. Would you change the team at that point ? We let in a goal - and all of a sudden people are asking why he didn't sub players earlier - a crystal ball would be great.

Not defending him - but for any manager the timings of subs is difficult (unless forced by injury). I can remember Sam getting similar stick - even with his years of experience.

Well you've been against Kean for a while now, not only you Kelbo, and it’s nothing against you personally, but nothing has been done directly despite big talk on here. So that’s why I'll be watching with interest and acting accordingly.

I like Abbey and SG194 have been involved in direct action before against Bill Fox back in the 80’s, it’ll be interesting to see if the current crop of supporters have the bottle and desire to make a difference.

Yeti, I agree re the name calling etc and try not to resort to it, as to me you should be able to debate or discuss without it.

I am glad you still feel able to post your opinion. From my perspective I posted my email so people know the kind of things I included so they could go along the same lines or add a different perspective. You have said it's not nice to name call but it's not nice to make a judgement on a group of people either and saying they are 'preening'. No one knows me on here so why on earth would I care what people think of me.

We all have one thing in common...we love Blackburn Rovers and are concerned.

Some people think it is bad timing, but I don't believe it is. Players who want to sign will sign, especially if it isn't even kean's list of targets. Also by the time it gains momentum and venkys make a decision it'll probably be after the window has closed anyway. If we waited to start this after the window it may be another month away. Maybe another month of bad results.

I also don't think it's bloodlust. I think it is fear and worry, especially if the hints in the blog are to be believed. Wanting something to happen and wanting improvements isnt wrong, especially if people do it in the proper manner.

Anyway, that's all my opinion and now I'm going to walk the dog!

I agree - even now I am shocked that we haven't bid for the likes of Danns or Onouha (though I suppose we could have - and been rejected, or waiting till later in transfer window). But how much of that is Kean's fault ? Like I said - we don't know what he has been promised - and possibly will never know. Venky's have yet to fulfill their many promises to the supporters - how do we know that Kean hasn't been left in a similar position - being left in the unenviable position of being portrayed as liar regarding our transfer budget etc.

I appreciate everyone's opinion and respect them, HOWEVER, when my name is quoted in a post then I feel I need to respond.

For around 4 years since I found message boards ect on the internet, I have been posting on them with things which I'm lucky enough to find out. Initially in the early years I was reluctant to do so, but when you get bombarded with question after question on every social network you use, You finally give in.

I share what I'm allowed without compromising the source of this information or indeed my own personal circumstances both financially and home life.

People ITK (And BTW I hate that term) Will have people who try to discredit what they say with post, whilst the majority will visti boards like this one for the next bit of news that those individuals bring to the boards.

With every snippet you release for public consumption you get hundreds, and I mean hundreds of messages via email twitter, P'M'S or asked on the board for more, because everyone wants to know everything.

I don't see too many complaints when you are feeding of the information that myself, Kammy, Makey11, BomBom, and Niko give you, and through this our particualr reputations are in the main respected.

Do you think that all the individuals with sources dnt spk to each other away from the public domain?

Why do we do this?

When we get info it comes from a number of people, only 2 people that I get info off I will take as gospel, because they are directly involved in the mechanism.

Everyone else's no disrespect to them, I get double and sometimes triple checked before I'd post it, and if I think its unsafe I dnt post it.

i.e typical Example over on the transfer thread they have been talking about Marco Ruben because someone saw a tweet I sent to an Andy Cryer. I was jsut asking Andy a question because I have been keeping a low profile the last couple of days.

I'm fully aware that he is a player we have been looking at, However when it was revealed that Kean was going talking to a mystery striker to night I just got a gutt feeling that It was either him or modiba Maiga.

I have not had this confirmed from anyone this is the player and I have not posted it anywhere that it was, However someone took my tweet and turned it into a story and now its all over the internet we Kean is close to signing Ruben and he has agreed a fee ect ect, and My name is being used as the source of this info, when I have not said anything of the such.

My point being certain individuals are happy to believe everything we say regarding info around Ewood and post it everywhere on the net when it suits them, and when its proven correct its all happy days,

However when its a topic which causes controversy suddenly the very word of the people you have been trusting for years is a "Witch Hunt" and you won't beleive us or make snide remarks either on here, or worse you go to another site and post it in the hope we won't see it.

All I will say to these people if you wish to slag me off be my guest, you are allowed your opinion, but please don't be following me on twitter or sending me messages on a daily basis asking me if I have any news for you, because those messages will just be ignored.

I have seen a few negative comments today, across a few sites, and when it came out Kean was on his travels today, the first thing these individuals did who have had a dig at me today, was send me messages on twitter and emails asking me whi this mystery striker was!!!

What we have here is a thread of fans her are mostly United that we want our club to prosper and in the main its been a great thread to read, some people will also have a difference of opinion and I welcome those opinions, what I don't welcome is personal attacks on people. If you don't beleive what I say, don't read my post and ask me questions just click the ignore button.

As I have said to others I'm quite happy not to post on any message boards or twitter and use my time more productivly, I only do it now, because over the years people have asked me to, and continue to do so.

Since Venky's took over, IMO, the supporters have been very fair minded, perhaps too fair, and given them an easy ride. As such, Venky's have continued to think, IMO, that they can do what they like, possibly as they operate in India.

It's time to 'get in their ribs and faces', figuratively speaking, and make life uncomfortable and embarrassing.
