thenonda Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 At the game, no protest, but to be honest it was not the time, 8K there 2.5 SW fans 3-0 up after 7 mins. The second half shows how SK does not know how to control a game for 90 mins against a team 2 divisions below them.

glen9mullan Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Just got back from game, No chants, No Banners, No atmosphere, no nothing really To be fair it was full of kids the crowd tonight, and the ones sat behind me were busy talking about everything but football, they can't have even watched the game. Had to move at half time before I launched em 15 rows I imagine most season ticket holders stayed away, think it will be a different scenario come saturday
chris Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Don't disappoint your wife tonight Glen, we won get sone sleep

I normally go with a group of 5 but all except me stayed away tonight, all aren't happy.
Gav Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 No chants, No Banners, No atmosphere, no nothing really I went tonight, was looking forward to the the claims made on here being backed up with some sort of action, sadly I was disappointed, no surprised really. We have Kelbo telling us: “I will hopefully get as close to the clown as I can and give himverbals for one, and with a banner!! We have Majibal telling us: “I'll be there screaming for him to be removed. The same way as most will hopefully be doing, screaming for his head for most of the game” And last but not least we have mercerman: “I'll be there tomorrow vocally giving Kean hell and will also join any protests outside the ground either before or after the match. If one of my pals comes along, dependent upon timing of a flight into Manchester, we will be in the JW as close to the dugout as possible, as my pal is ex RU and built like the proverbial and not even the two guerrillas who escort the ref off at half time could quieten him” Well lads you’re full of pwiss and wind, not that I ever thought any different, but any respect I had for you before tonight, and Kelbo and Majibal I had plenty, that’s gone tonight, you’ve shown your true colours, you're full of ****. The rest of you, who didn't even bother going, but spend your lives on here slagging of the manager and the owners, you're no better and you know who you are. Pathetic

The people I've mentioned all said categorically they'll be there tonight and protesting, so lets not pretend they never went.

Gav, You have gob mate, sometimes and I am quite placid, I would love to make you an appointment with the dentist, but you wouldnt be worth the energy, I would be interested, as you have obviously a superior knowledge to most of us on here, what your views were on the game? To end this one, if you had cared to look around the Jack Walker upper tier stand, you would have noticed an assistant manager from a Premiership club, at 5pm was invited with him as a guest, couldnt really take a banner with me could I, as you were there, you must have seen him, I was sat to the right of him

Will be interesting to see if people protest during the Everton game, especially if we are losing. People must have been boycotting this competition at Ewood for the last two seasons then ... tonight - 8,607 last season (same round same date, Norwich) - 9,235 previous season (two rounds later, Peterborough 27th October) - 8,406 [after wins against Gillingham and Forest away] There's hardly evidence of a massive downward trend is there?

Pathetic You are the pathetic one with your hatred of Sam and unwavering support for Venky's / Kean last season as they systematically, IMO, destroyed our club. For your information, at 5.00 am this morning, I was on the road to Newcastle and drove straight to the ground from Newcastle, taking my seat just as the game kicked-off. My friend will not be back in UK until Friday now due to business complexities and therefore couldn't make the match. Anyone protesting at 3-0 up after 5 minutes would have looked a right t1t. I'd therefore suggest that you first engage your brain, if you have one, before opening that gob of yours and spewing out utter sh1te. Let's see what happens on Saturday.

I shouldn't single you out because a lot of the other so called keyboard warriors had gone AWOL!

So, IF you went what was your view of the game, you rarely post on such things, what system did Rovers play, what role did Formica play, did you feel that despite the weak opposition, Rovers could have turned up the heat, raised the tempo of the game, were the substitutions sensible? Just be interested to know, maybe tomorrow when you have asked a friend!! Why you say I am full of whatever god knows as apart from differing opinions I have not offended you, if its because my opinions differ to yours, then god help us!

No doubt you will have some excuse.

Talk of offending, and differening views, doesn't wash this time Kelbo, we're talking about claims you made on this very thread, which basically turned out to be lies. I’ll not discuss the game, because this is a Kean out thread, remember you’re going to “give himverbals for one, and with a banner!!” You’re full of ****, like your mates. glen9mullan Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 No point falling out with each other, there was no protest and we won a cup game against a weak team. Taking lumps out of each other is not going to improve Rovers, so its non productive
