Excellent article in the paper today, one of the first that has taken the time to look at Rovers proud history and the traditions that Venkys have torn to shreds in the last year. Well written and well informed for a change.

i would expect no less from winter but its nice that for once someone has looked at the perspective of the Rovers fans. every other media outlet has thus far poked fun at us from the outside looking in. Winter has chosen to look on it from our point of view, we have always been viewed as a traditional family club which is at the heart of a community with a limited but passionate following. At last someone has taken the time to respect and honour that.

Henry Winter has a soft spot for Rovers, he knows all about our history. I e-mailed him on Sunday Glen's article and linked in a couple of threads on the messageboard, he has followed this up and done today's article. I am hoping that three other "big hitter" journos who I also e-mailed are also going to be doing articles over the next few days.

Excellent article. Problem is, I'm not sure Venky's care what the English press say about them. They've been ridiculed from day one - not sure another article will change their views. I guess it can't hurt, though!

Don't worry Venky's are aware of this article, also have to remember that Venny is in the UK and people like the two Hunt's, Bloch etc. who work at Ewood will have read this article.

The best thing about the article is that it is not poking fun at Venky's (they ignore that kinda thing), this is a serious article from one of the most respected journalists which criticises but also shows them ways in which they can re-address the situation.

Sent it to Andy Cryer to see if it can wake him the Kean Presser spell and instead of just repeating what he is told. He would actually do some digging or reporting for himself. The local paper should be leading the fight to Venkys and not just suckling up to Vinkys and Keans teats.

What information that the LT get, stories like Raul wants to come to Rovers and the transfer is not dead. Seriously the LET are at a cross roads either they man up and stop quoting what Kean and Venkeys say verbatim when we all know it's hog wash.

I am not saying for one second they should become anti Venkys as that would not help anyone. But they should hold them to account, I know I will sound like an old duffer saying this but do you honestly think Peter White would just stood by and said nothing. He would have found out what is going on and reported it in a fair manner.

Before I get neg votes for picking on Andy, I will say his commentary via the LET and also on twitter of the Rovers games this season have been perfect.

I know for a fact the club believe he is against them and have not been happy with his last two match reports or his summer columns. I know the guy and Rovers are making nis life hell at the moment

Venkys being unhappy with Cryers reports on the last two games is surprising to no one. Once again it just shows deluded Venkys are. Andy has done some critical articles Venkys but they have never really told us any more than then we know from Nicko or has been read on this board.

I highlight this by the fact there has never been a report saying Rovers had money issues just Quote after Quote from from Kean saying there is no issue. Of course he is going to say that yet that was all we got. Not good enough from someone who's only job is to report on Rovers. Where is the Phil Jones money Andy??? Whats the REAL reason Miles Anderson was signed???

Glen's blog article was better than anything that Andy has created in recent months. IMHO Andy and the LET are fast becoming irrelevant.

Yeah his review of Villa was very honest, good on him.

I don't know Andy and I have never met him but I 100% believe his is nice guy and genuinely cares for Rovers.

BUT he has pivotal role to play between the fans and the club. The LET is probably the only newspaper that can give the space and time to get both sides of the argument. Instead we get repeated what Kean and Venkys say verbatim. Best example Raul wants to come to Rovers. I am sorry who in their right mind believed that for one second?

Why has there not been an interview with the new Venkys guy running Rovers outlining his and Venkys vision for the future of Rovers? This would be prime time for Venkys to get their plans across to the local fans. Questions could also be asked to Venkys about what has happened of course this can not be an ambush on new guy as that is not fair but has to be better than the utter dross we were treated to by Radio Lancashire at the end of last season.

Top marks for doing that Kamy. In my (maybe cynical) view it's the only way that Venky's will listen to the football world's/fan's views. And in some ways I don't blame them - if the world was run based on views from messageboards/Facebook the world would be on the sixteenth nuclear holocaust by now.

First step come clean and admit where things have gone wrong. Then we can all draw a line under it.

Second is regular update to the fans as to what is going on. That does not mean we deserve the win a cup or we are going to sign Beckham. Things like we know Nelson is getting on a bit so we are looking for a young central defender no need to give names.

Third give reasonable answer to things that are in the press now, Where is the Phil Jones money? Why has Hoillet not signed up yet? etc etc

Fourth get Kean lessons on dealing with the press, he will say he is being positive but he comes across as deluded. Best example his interview to the BBC after the Villa game.
