Sadly Kean will use the penalties as the only reason why we didn't win, and will take the focus off the fact we played Roberts for 70 minutes who did not a single thing. Goodwillie for more than a half would have scored against that rabble.

dear god. i don't know what to say.... never seen a game like this before... Kean has to go. thank god theres no football next week. i cant stand kean anymore.

Just mean he has another week to shine the owners arses, rather the games came thick and fast just so we can inevitably lose them and expedite his departure

Well Kean has broken another record, the 60 year one now gone.

The ref made a stupid decision but we had chances to put away a poor and demoralised Everton side and we quaite frankly blew it.

Kean still has to go, team selection wasn't right. Goodie came on and showed more in his brief spell than Roberts did in 70 minutes. Considering Roberts is his cheerleader he aint going to drop him, so he will make the same selection mistakes again.

We robbed ourselves by not scoring from penalties. Blaming the ref is a complete joke. If Samba does that anywhere else on the pitch it's a free kick, you can't just go through players like that.

Season in a nutshell right there. We're doing down.

Oh, I agree completely. Don't get me wrong, we cost ourselves the game by not scoring two penalties. The squad is pathetic and the manager is worse.

Doesn't change the fact it was not a penalty and we should have at least a point tonight.

Not that a point would have been enough anyway - needed to win that game and didn't do it.

Resigned to relagation at the moment, first time in my time of supporting the club that this early in the season I genuinely see nothing but relegation for us.

I just hope Ipswich don't go up and Norwich come down with us... easy travel to see Rovers next season for me. Gotta find some positives somewhere.

Thank God I'm hitting the drink tonight.

FFS. The manager didnt take the penalties and didnt concede one. If we had scored the last one it would have been three points and up the table. Plenty of good performances today and more players to come in. Dont take my word for it listen to the commentary team comments . It is a pisser result but i am not on the ledge.

I dont rate Kean particularly but he has bought some promising players. We saw the old and the new out there today. I know which i prefer.

Absolutely gutted, feel like we have been totally mugged by Everton!

There are no excuses for two penalty misses in one game, having said that I thought Formica played brilliantly and I can't for the life of me understand why he continues to sit on the subs bench.

I don't know what hold Jason Roberts has over Steve Kean but he needs to be replaced, I saw more creativity and goal threat from Goodwillie in two minutes than I saw from Jason Roberts in over 70 minutes.

Samba and Givet were immense at the back, Nzonzi needs to cool it, Petrovic needs time. We need to explore the possibility of brining Jermaine Jones back in on loan, and get a couple of strikers up front in addition to any defensive cover.

Here is hoping Simon and Formica are in our next starting line up instead of Dunn and Pederson and that we have managed to sign a striker that knows what the back of the net looks like. Its going to be a long season!

Why does he persist in playing Jason Roberts?

Today might not have been his fault (although he was looking on like a helpless passenger at the end), but he is part of the problem, so I'm certainly not going to stick up for him.

August gone, and we have no points. There's every chance here that we could be going down in spectacular fashion.

Reminded me of last season when liverpool came to Ewood and just threw the game to get Hodgson sacked, if we had a decent striker we would have won by a country mile today. Don't no how anyone can say Kean isn't to blame especially after dropping Formica and Goodwillie to the bench when any person with an ounce of footballing knowledge would of player both of them from the start.
