artemorethanlabore Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Sigh. But I guess he's going for the PL experience

MarkBRFC71 Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 And that team selection is why some of us fear the worst for this game. Yep, chances of winning severely diminished IMO by picking the same old shirkers (MGP), Championship players (Roberts) and crocks (Dunny).
RovertheHill Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Optimism gone somewhat having seen the team. Hope I'm wrong but that lineup looks toothless
LeChuck Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Kean obviously going for as much experience as possible all over the pitch. Not a bad move under the circumstances, especially against a wise old team like Everton. We have good game changers on the bench if we need.
Backroom Tom Posted August 27, 2011 Backroom Posted August 27, 2011 Shocking shocking shocking. What was the point in signing any players if you play the same slow plodders?
ABBEY Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 (Please don't use that word again) you kean ! Apart from blowing smoke up your arse what has Roberts done to deserve a start! Brownnose.com good to see the Scorers dropped again! RETARDED pillock
hesfromburn Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 EXPERIENCE good team best line up this season! easy win today MARK MY WORDS!
AHoyle90 Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 I could be proven wrong, but the team selection shows me Steve Kean is afraid of Everton today, and doesn't have confidence in putting out some attacking players. I really thought Brett would/should have been in at right back for Salgado who is having a nightmare start to the season. Allowing Rochina to play on the wing. I think he's tried to mirror last seasons system as much as possible as I think Kean will be over the moon if we snatch a point today. I just hope Hoilett can get on the ball as much as possible and support Roberts.
pick32 Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Just seen the Team sheets awful selection by Kean, Midfield will be overun and Roberts isn't going to get any joy against that defence. Just put a tenner on 3-0 Everton at 22/1.
MarkBRFC71 Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Kean obviously going for as much experience as possible all over the pitch. Not a bad move under the circumstances, especially against a wise old team like Everton. We have good game changers on the bench if we need. We WILL need, be in no doubt of that. Hope it's not too late by then though and Kean hasn't thrown the points away with a frankly awful choice of first 11. We need young hungry players, not proven failures and has-beens.
Pugg Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 So disappointed with that selection. Still hoping for a positive result but not expecting anything.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 We'll get dicked in midfield. I'll take a draw now.
Amo Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Kean obviously going for as much experience as possible all over the pitch. Not a bad move under the circumstances, especially against a wise old team like Everton. We have good game changers on the bench if we need. I'd rather see players picked on merit, Chuck. Dropping Formica, Rochina AND Goodwillie to replace them with the likes of Dunn, Pedersen & Roberts is shocking, but not surprising.
chris Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Blackburn XI: Robinson, Salgado, Olsson, Samba, Givet, Emerton, Dunn, Pedersen, N'Zonzi, Hoillet, Roberts Not a single new signing just last seasons team but weaker with P Jones, J Jones and Kalinic missing. All this bargin signings not able to force their waay into a team that was nearly relegated last year. At 35 year old right back and a 34 year old sole striker. Amazed if we win, normlly I say come on the Rover, this time I'm going for Good luck boys hope we can get a draw.
patrickvalery Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 I suspect it'll go something like this. Plan to keep it tight and pinch a goal on the break Concede a goal after approx 20 mins Try in vain to fashion a half chance with the containing personnel on the pitch Half time Start second half Perhaps the odd scramble in the Everton box which we'll count as a clear cut chance at full time Substitute Peds and Dunn for Rochina and Formica Concede a 2nd goal Take off Roberts for Goodwillie Huff a bit Puff a bit Lose 0-2 Hope i'm wrong, but this seems to be the pattern of late.
BRFC1995 Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 emo dunn nzonzi pedersen V Osman Feillani Heitinga Arteta Barkley ffs. 0-0 hopefully where is all our new found pace.....nightmare seeing pedersen back on wing duty and crap set pieces
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Blackburn XI: Robinson, Salgado, Olsson, Samba, Givet, Emerton, Dunn, Pedersen, N'Zonzi, Hoillet, Roberts BRFC: Bunn, Rochina, Formica, Goodwillie, Petrovic, Hanley, Lowe. Looks like I had the team spot on apart from Samba coming back into the side. Can't be bothered once again pointing out the usual and obvious flaws with that team selection. Jason 'goal machine' Roberts averages 5 goals a season, let's hope he uses at least one of them up today.
philipl Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 This is a match we should be winning. They are in some trouble on and off the pitch. With the boost of a big midweek win, Keano should have no problem getting the players up for this one. Just needs to get them organised properly. Agreed. Let's see if the thinking woman's drink is up for it. His line-up suggests he isn't as yet again he has dropped his goal scorers from the previous game!
T.J.Newton Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 cant believe formicas been dropped to the bench again, he was the one shining light in the game against wolves, yet the manager(manager?) has treat him like crap ever since. steve kean out!!!!!!
Martin Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Uninspiring but probably the best we have in terms of PL experience. Problem is that Kean doesn't know our best XI nor do any of us. Samba could make the difference today.
philipl Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 Oh and unlike the gullible supporters, Kean is so impressed with his own signings....
