STEVE KEAN PROTEST Saturday,(Everton game) August 27((5:00pm-5:30pm location: Ewood Park)

https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=113671492065631

Kean is the boss and now has 2 wins in his last 16 league matches,

I'm sure by now you all realise that we are in HUGE trouble.

Now its time to stop moaning at message board, we need support that protest so please join to us,we need you all.

If we get more than 100 people to that protest then owners have to regonize that, and some of the owners are in Ewood Park that game.

Remember that Newcastle fans protest(21.01 2006) against Souness and few weeks later he was Sack (02.02.2006)

WHY WE CANT DO THE SAME!!!!!

Tell all your friends and family and together we can get rid of him

Also, why not do this when you aren't all tanked up?

Do it before or during the game to make a real statement.

You'll only wuss out if we get a point or three, which I presume you'll now be hoping for so you can go ahead throwing your toys out the pram.

The best protest, in my mind, would be from kick off everybody faces the back of the stand (in a poznan/city style) and is completely silent. After 5 minutes, everybody turns around with a roar of applause, chanting and general shouting. That way, its clear we don't support whats happening at the moment, but everybody will still always support Blackburn Rovers,

Hahaha, that sounds like the worst idea ever. I'd love it if a stray shot thwacked the back of someone's head.

Also, using the Jack Walker statue would be the equivalent of the BNP using the Union Jack. Very bad taste.

Another kean out thread! well I never. Please dont climb all over Jacks statue this time please.

FACEBOOK = THE DEATH OF SOCIAL LIFE AND THE ART OF CONVERSATION

I echo those comments, and like SteB mentioned also, protest should be in front of the Jack Walker stand, not anywhere near the statue.

Facebook - don't get me started :angry2:

I'd find this hilarious if one guy at the back wasn't aware of it and became overly paranoid about thousands of people staring him out.

I imagine this will end up the same as the last 'protest' that being mainly a bunch of chavs.

Are you going to the game?

If so, protesting AFTER you've just paid Venky's for the privilege is just as moronic as the United fans and their green & gold scarves.

Hang on, weren't we slating people for NOT protesting the other day? This place is confusing at times.

Don't get me wrong I do agree with the sentiments raised above (that if we win nothing will happen) which is why I believe that if people are to protest it is done either before or during the game. Put up or shut up.

We lose something could spontaneously happen, we don't nowt will happen.

This is more likely to happen during a game if we're getting well beaten, generated from emotion rather than planning something on Facebook. I'd rather it happen spontaneously as at least it'd be for the right reasons. Not just a rent-a-mob turning up because they saw something on Facebook and thought they'd hijack it.

Unless, as is very likely, he's already bought a season ticket so Venkys will be getting his money anyway. Plus ticket revenue makes up a small amount of Rovers overall revenue. Plus going to the game and protesting after shows support for the players but not the owners.

I can understand your anger though. Rovers have finally won a game against a League 1 reserve team, so how dare anyone criticise Venkys or Kean!

You can't differentiate between supporting the players and supporting the owners. That's just doublespeak so the fans can enjoy the best of both worlds because they dare not give up the game...no matter how utterly disillusioned and outraged they are with it.

Wouldn't matter who's in charge. Voting with your feet is the way to make an impact in this consumer-driven world. Not some half-assed chanting outside the ground.

No, they were slated for saying they were going to then wussing out.

Now they are being slated for going through this all over again.

It isn't going to happen, why bother posting? people have been saying they will protest since last season and apart from a few small groups I have not seen or heard anything.

Why don't you focus on supporting OUR team instead of hurling abuse.

Put up or shut up.

never quite understood this phrase. surely put up is to passively tolerate something. shutting up would amount to the same thing.

is this hobsons choice delibrate basically saying you have no option but to accept things as they are?

If so I must protest. No tells ME to shut up!

Who you protesting to?

Owners NOT in town anymore....should have done it on Wednesday like you all said you would

According to kammy on the latest podcast, the owners are present for the everton match.

I say support the team with everything you have and put your reservations about kean and venkys to one side and if we get 3 points then it's happy days for now, it's 60 years since we last lost the 1st 3 league games and hopefully it ain't gonna happen today, COYB!

More people setting themselves up for a potential fall then!

I've always interpreted it as "play your hand or fold". It is a rather odd one though.
